Maybe a management refresh wouldnβt be a bad idea here. Staff are rude and mostly unhelpful. Always having to dodge the shop floor assistance trolleys when they are loading their shelves, sometimes the isles are impassable and at times they will push in front of you to get to a shelf. To be raised with head office.

I went in today around 10.20am and asked a member of staff(lady with glasses) about something and she tutted and moaned at me saying I'm never going to get my job done, I'm trying to do an online order. Then told me to get help at the pharmacy. I was in the aisle where the paracetamol was. How was I supposed to know? I told a member of staff at the pharmacy and she apologised and said she can guess who it was. There is no need to speak to people like that. She wasn't nice to someone else either.

To the Store Management Team, βI am writing as a long-time, loyal customer who considers this my main store. I am providing this feedback because I was left very upset by an incident tonight and believe it highlights a serious training opportunity for your self-checkout staff. βTonight, while shopping, I personally witnessed another customer conceal a full bottle of vodka inside their jacket. They then continued to shop with their trolley. As a regular customer who wants to support the store, my full intention was to report this high-value theft to a staff member as soon as I had paid for my own goods. βHowever, as I was finishing at the self-checkout, my experience was ruined by one of your colleagues. βI felt I was being "stalked" by the staff member monitoring the area. Before I could even complete my transaction, she abruptly cornered me, challenging me about the 40p carrier bag i had took to the self checkout. I always pay for my bags at the very end of the transaction, but I was given no opportunity to do so. βThe judgemental way I was treated made me feel intimidated and ashamed, as if I were the one being treated as a criminal. βBecause of this deeply uncomfortable and accusatory interaction, I no longer felt I could approach your team. The focus was no longer on me reporting the actual shoplifter, who I can only assume left the store with the stolen vodka. I simply wanted to leave after being made to feel like a "non-payer" myself. βMy point is this: Your staff's misplaced focus and intimidating approach to a loyal customer over a 40p item directly prevented a high-value theft from being reported. βI urge you to please teach your staff to be more discreet, respectful, and helpful to the everyday, paying shoppers. We are not the ones you need to corner. As this incident proves, we may be more of an asset in helping you prevent loss than you think. βI am not writing this simply to complain, but in the hope that you will address this with your team so that good customers are not alienated, and actual theft is not overlooked. βThank you for your attention to this matter.

The cafe at this branch of Tesco is excellent, nice food, clean, friendly staff and affordable. If I could review it separately from the actual store I would and I'd give them 4 stars. The manager was particularly friendly. However, the cafe is let down by the store. Sure it's big, sure lots of nice products, but not much to set it apart. The staff on the self checkouts are also rude. My husband is a foreign national and we went into the self checkouts the wrong way. I was trying to explain how this worked to my husband when a member of staff very rudely addressed me saying there was a queue over there. English and manners not being her strong point, I proceeded to tell her 'there was no reason to be rude, I'm a customer'. She then proceeded to backchat me mumbling and chuntering within earshot deliberately with her colleague. Whilst I appreciate the staff may not be paid high salaries, I as a customer expect to be addressed in a polite manner and not backchatted. This may seem petty, but you have to draw a line somewhere. I would happily patronise the cafe again, but not the store.

Tesco cafΓ© makes really good cappuccinos and does not charge extra for your preferred milk choice. Nice size and cup design.

It's a supermarket with price-match so it's not badly priced. A super eclectic mix of your essential food, drink and household goods.

I don't usually come in to Tesco but had the best customer service ever today. I had an issue with my mobile phone app and the lady on the counter was so patient and waited for my to sort the barcode out. I then went to the kiosk to purchase some other items and the lady there was just as friendly. The only thing I was dissapointed about was the stock availability. Its the same everywhere these days though so didn't bother me too much.
