The main problem with this surgery is the receptionists, well a few of them are extremely rude bad mannered and unprofessional. Management need to train these more and if they don't like their job should leave especially Sue who I found to be very unprofessional. Once you get past the defense system of the receptionists I find the rest of the staff extremely friendly and great with patients. A complaint as been made officially but I'm guessing I am not the first. Do better receptionists you are ment to be the face of the surgery and first point of contact so be professional and friendly it's not alot to ask for.

Unfortunately lve reached the conclusion that this practice does not want people to use it.lve spent 40 mins on the phone to be told l can't make an appointment unless l use their website. So l go on their website and it kicks me out because they've had enough patients using this service and suggest l call 111. I'm sure the pay rise you keep bleatingbon about is well warranted...not !

My family and I moved to this surgery in January after being at our previous surgery most of my life. Prior to moving my husband had a serious illness which in turn affected the whole family. I will be forever grateful to all at Burton Latimer medical centre for making us feel welcome and the outstanding professionalism by every doctor and nurse we have seen. During waiting to be seen I have witnessed the rudeness towards staff, especially reception staff, please be kind they are just doing their jobs in a very difficult situation.

Worst medical practice I have ever been with. Impossible to get an appointment and every time I get a phone booking with the clinical pharmacist it gets cancelled. Also difficult to get an emergency prescription. so just going to stop taking the medication and what will be will be. more stress than its worth.

Very difficult to obtain an appointment to see a Doctor: Most likely you will be given an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner, if you are judged worthy of such, and then only if you are first in line at opening time. The 8am queue/scramble is not over yet, is it?! On the good side, an appointment with a Doctor will be worth the trouble, from my experience.

Always been helpful to us as new family to the area. You find all the go surgery are the same really no appointments but the staff are so much nicer to deal with.

Horrible service at the GP practice. Since I registered with the Surgery, I cannot get an appointment to see a GP. There is no appointment for patients. You have to call on that day and even that you cannot get an appointment. We have decided to leave this GP to another practice. They are just interested in having names of registered patients to claim money for each patient from the NHS without serving the patients with appointments when required. Absolute terrible service. This surgery should close. Not fit for purpose.

The doctors and nurses I’ve seen have always had a high standard of care and concern for my health and well-being. Equally there are a few members of staff on reception who do a diamond job, in particular the male member of the team is superb. What I struggle with is no one answers the phone in the day for general enquiries despite being first in the queue. Ringing in at 8am everyday is not workable for a lot of people and the system needs a massive change - my mum who worked as a carer could never get an appointment because she’s looking after our most vulnerable. The surgery prioritise those who wait outside the door compared to those who are on the phone and may not even be able to come to the surgery (for health, physical, work reasons etc). I just think you need to actually read these reviews and implement some changes because clearly the system isn’t working for a lot of people and a lot of people are not happy with the system (including myself whom doesn’t actually rely on the surgery as heavily as other people who may need it more).

Absolutely appalled by the service at this surgery. 45 mins on hold to be told that there are no appointments available for a medication review for my daughter despite them telling us to book an appointment before they will reissue her medication. Receptionist was unhelpful using a broken record approach. Practice manager was unavailable, Deputy practice manager unavailable. Unable/unwilling to provide their email addresses. Ring back at 8am on Monday (whilst you are taking your 3 children to school) such an awful system & service

Just had a very supportive conversation with a gentleman on the phone who is passing on my medication concerns to the doctor on duty. The gentleman couldn’t of been any more helpful. I understand it is difficult to get an appointment but the practice are doing their best for an increasing population in the town
