Generally a good surgery, however, I do prefer to see certain doctors only, just my preference. Always seem to get an appointment when needed and on the same day. The nurses are helpful too.

Nurses are exceptionally rude and unhelpful. They don’t call or contact patients when requested and they ignore hospital recommendations. Avoid at all costs if you value your health, find another GP

I think I've left a review before, but I just feel compelled again to say that this is such a caring, lovely little surgery. I am a complex patient, and reception, especially Dawn, have always been so kind and helpful. I usually see Dr Sam, and his attitude is compassionate and open.

Awful place. I have been on medication now for some years and never get to see the only doctor face to face. I enquired about having a check up for my general health and medication review, but was told that I could only speak to the doctor via a telephone call. That is absolutely useless. How can you ascertain this over the telephone?! I was told that I must see the nurse for a health check up and medication review this is strange as I thought the doctor would be higher in the order than the nurse. I am now in the process of changing health centres. It could not be worse than this.

New to the surgery with a complex condition, I felt very anxious about how things would transfer over. Receptionist Dawn took time out of her day to make sure she could get all of my meds recorded on the system and sort out upcoming appointments and questions. Above and beyond, such a kind and helpful gesture.

Super helpful receptionist Dawn! After a couple of non intrusive questions, she understood my needs & helped with a referral without having to go via the doctor for a minor issue. This has saved me, the doctor & possibly others much needed valuable time. Talk to your receptionists, they really can help you out!!

Medical staff I have got nothing but praise for, admin staff are another matter entirely. I have previously had to make an official complaint about one of the receptionists as she was extremely rude and arrogant and refused to make me an appointment to see the doctor, even though the doctor herself had told me to make a follow up appointment. That was about 3-4 years ago. Suffice to say this particular member of staff hasn't improved her attitude since then. I tried 3 days ago to make an urgent appointment to see my GP as advised by a doctor at the Corby Urgent Care Centre and this receptionist has again questioned a qualified medical professional by refusing to let me have a phone consultation with my GP, even after they got the report through. I then got told that I would have to send some photos by email as I have very badly swollen feet and ankles. These would then be passed on but I would have to wait till the following week at the earliest for them to be looked at as they were short staffed. I have now just been told on the phone by NHS111 that I could potentially have heart failure and must see my GP. I think the only way I will be able to get an appointment is to make another complaint to the Practice Manager or to go and register as a patient elsewhere. Neither of which is acceptable.

Overall, a very good practice with a fantastic GP serving Finedon well in my experience. I've never had to wait long for an appointment, but it can be a bit difficult to reach them on the phone. When you get through, staff are pleasant and help deal with queries quickly.
