Returned to The Ashby Clinic today for a shoulder issue. Dan was so knowledgeable and really helped me understand what was going on with my back and shoulder. Helped relieve pain and put together a programme that is manageable for me. Have used other physio's before as closer to me but Dan is definately the best. Highly recommended.

Honestly, I can't recommend Dan at The Ashby Clinic enoughβhe was absolutely brilliant! I went in with a foot issue. He quickly recognised the need to look deeper and was proactive in helping with a referral to a consultant for X-rays and identifying a consultant that could see me as soon as possible. That whole diagnostic process was incredibly fast thanks to him. Beyond his expertise, Dan is genuinely friendly and super helpful. His rehabilitation exercises and advice were spot on and easy to follow. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again (although hopefully I wonβt have to ha)!

SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE. Iβve suffered back issues for years. At the start of 2025, after an MRI scan showed signs of disc issues, I visited Dan. He analysed and assessed and went over and above with chasing scan results directly with the hospital. He set me up with an exercise plan with progressed as I got stronger and which worked miracles. From being fearful Iβd pull my back simple turning over in the night to now being stronger and moving with ease. The last 8 months have been dedication to getting stronger and it worked. Dan truly listens and is masterful in his profession. Highly recommended!

I was referred to Dan Barratt at The Ashby Clinic by my hip surgeon after being told I would need a hip replacement. Dan guided me through both pre and post-op rehabilitation, and his expert, tailored approach played a vital role in getting me back to full strength. Dan took the time to understand the physical demands of my job as an operational firefighter, and thanks to his support and structured rehab, I was able to return to full operational duty just six months after surgery. More recently, Dan identified symptoms of tendonitis, referred me for a scan to confirm the diagnosis, and successfully treated it using shockwave therapy. I canβt recommend Dan highly enough for anyone needing expert, personalised physiotherapyβwhether recovering from surgery, managing ongoing issues, or aiming to return to high-level physical activity. Thanks again Dan

Dan is an excellent physio. I visited him with a running related injury, which he soon resolved through an exercise/ strengthening program and treatment. Dan not only treated my injury but he understood what goals were important to me and showed me the route to take to get back on track. I would highly recommend Dan. Thank you!

Dan has been fantastic. Iβve had two Hip Replacements and my recovery, without a doubt, was greatly assisted by Dan. His understanding of my needs, his advice and the programme he set for me were spot on. Iβd happily recommend Dan to anyone who needs Physio.

Dan was the only physio to correctly diagnosis that I needed a double full hip replacement, despite pains being in my knees. Referred to Prof. Griffin and had both hips replaced. Dan worked with me on my recovery and put plans in place after both operations and feeling good as knew. Will only recommend Dan and won't go anywhere else. He also told me when coming wouldn't help me until after the op, so didn't take money needlessly when he knew he couldn't help. Genuine guy, incredibly knowledgeable.

Dan was instrumental in getting me put on the waiting list for a hip replacement op. At the time, I had already been walking on crutches for 15 years after repair work from a car accident. He told me that after the hip op he would work with me on my walking. In the intervening year, before my op, due to problems with my shoulders and arms, I was forced to get about in a buggy. After the hip op I then went to him for 'walking lessons'. Thanks to his guidance and exercises, I am now walking the dog without crutches, gradually building up my distance. He has been an enormous help, is very patient and kind.
