I suffer from chronic pain and have been on strong medication for this for the past 7 years. I can’t physically walk or function without this medication and it changed my life when I was put on it for serious all over body pain issues, then after being with this surgery for 4 years, they have decided to stop it!. Iv been weaning off it now for 3 months and have had times with withdrawals, when iv seriously thought I was dying. I was finally able to speak to the head honcho one morning and was told that it didn’t matter how much I begged and moaned, I was being taken off it. Now I’m back in the situation of not being able to function due to the return of the chronic pain and the doctor I see, ASKS ME what medication I think would be suitable to stop my pain!! I told them that IM NOT A DOCTOR and surely they should know what medication might be right for me. They are absolutely useless and I’m in the process of looking for another surgery who actually care about their patients. And don’t get me started on this “rapid care” way of booking appointments online now. It’s a disgrace how they expect old age pensioners with no knowledge of how to do things online.

I have only had good experiences. Even ringing later than 8 am, around 10 am, admittedly not Monday, and I was able to get an appointment. My husband has had great service too, with a spinal surgery and he was able to chose his hospital from a list so he choose where it could be done soonest. The staff and facilities are great and serve the community well.

This surgery is the worse surgery I have ever encountered. I keep getting cut off when in a queue, loosing my place in line 3 times this morning due to this. (I've had to call at least 26 times too as in between each call it also cuts me off due to 'high demand' of calls.....My daughter has serious medical issues and is flagged as a priority and yet I can't even get her an appointment, so I'm now having to go and take her to the hospital because she can't get seen by a GP. It's an absolute joke. Looks like another complaint to the regulatory board!

So glad I left this surgery for a new one in Wellingborough. I wish id done it years ago. There is no comparison. My new surgery is well run, plenty of helpful receptionists, plenty of services, they're on the ball & the gp I have seen gave me time to talk & explained things. Doctors at Wollaston were lazy and rude.

Once you are able to get an appointment the drs and nurses are very good, caring etc. That's why I gave it 2 stars... For the surgery itself and the reception I would give it no stars if I could. They make it impossible to book an appointment in advance. Even if you are not ill and just need a conversation with the Dr. You HAVE to call on the day at 8 am. Then you are either cut off because the lines are too busy.. Or you are number 100 in the queue. Between 8-9 you have to get ready for work, get your children ready for school, take them to school.. Etc. I can honestly write a book about how badly this surgery is run. It feels like the reception is trained to block anyone to get the best and adequate care. You can't leave a message, you can't email them, even if you need paperwork sent to them. You can't visit the surgery without an appointment. The reception is located in Corby/Derby so there is no way you can speak to your own surgery. Avoid this surgery..

Impossible to make an appointment. If you do get on to their callback list, they don’t always call you. The surgery itself is ok but the reception team make it impossible to access.

With a long standing health condition, I have lived the length and bredth of this land. In all that time, I have never encountered a surgery as incompetent as this one. If you're new to the village, register somewhere else. I will be as soon as I can.

Surprised at negative reviews. I have always found the reception staff to be excellent, friendly and approachable. Medical staff are fantastic, especially the nurse I saw for essential travel vaccination, who was both knowledgeable and caring. Getting an appointment is very easy, not sure why people are saying they had to wait three weeks, I have always managed to get an appointment the same day, just follow the directions as per website.
