Communication is non-existent, continuous rotation of different doctors. Unhelpful reception staff, general lack of care and concern. Been over a month, doctor still not read or dealt with letter requesting referral from my private consultant regardless of continuous chasing. Sat on my wife’s blood test results for weeks and uploaded them incorrect to record and again zero communication. Do not recommend.

Incompetent to say the least. I keep getting prescribed the wrong medication and they "lost" all of my wifes and my data not long ago. Imagine being elderly and/or with life threatening illnesses and you keep getting the wrong medication, shameful. Reception is never helpful, one in particular has very "I don't care" attitude. Why should I trust you guys with my health and wellbeing if you can't get the simplest of things right?

Dear County Surgery, I am not happy! I had an appointment booked 8 weeks ago, for which I took a day off work to attend. Upon arrival today, I was informed that I had been removed from the system and was no longer registered as a patient. I was told this deletion occurred last week, but no one could explain why or how it happened, and I was not notified in advance. Despite being reassured that I could still be seen, I waited an additional 20 minutes only to be told during the appointment that, due to my status as a non-patient, the appointment could not go ahead. I was then advised that I would need to be re-registered on Monday and wait up to another month for a new appointment. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially as this is not the first time I have experienced issues with cancelled appointments and lack of communication from your team. I am now unable to take more time off work to accommodate yet another delay. I would appreciate an urgent explanation for what happened and what steps will be taken to prevent this from recurring. I also request to be prioritised for an earlier appointment given the circumstances. Sincerely, Disappointed patient

Review: I visited this clinic today, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The doctor was 30 minutes late to work, and after that, I had to wait another 40 minutes while they tried to set up their computer—apparently, they needed to log into Google. When I finally entered the doctor’s office, I noticed the doctor was not wearing a lab coat, and the room was in complete disarray, as if a student hadn’t cleaned up for two weeks. The air in the office was stale, as if it hadn’t been ventilated in a long time. After my examination, the doctor told me I could pick up my prescription in two hours at my pharmacy. He also instructed me to schedule a follow-up appointment for next week. When I asked if I could book it at the reception, he confirmed that I could. However, when I approached the reception, they told me, “We don’t schedule appointments. You need to call at 8 AM on the day you want to come in.” This means there’s no guarantee I would even get an appointment. Naturally, when I went to the pharmacy to collect my medication, it wasn’t there. When I called the surgery to ask about it, they informed me that the doctor hadn’t signed off on my prescription yet. Keep in mind, I had my appointment in the morning, and I checked the pharmacy in the evening. They then told me my medication should be ready the next day. When I asked if they send any notification when the prescription is ready, they said, “No, we don’t provide that service.” I asked, “So how will I know when my medication is actually ready? Should I just come in tomorrow morning and hope it’s there?” They simply said, “Just wait.” This level of disorganization is unacceptable.

The reception is nice, but the doctors, especially the female one, are absolutely useless. Why would you even be a doctor if you don’t care about your patients wellbeing?

Was allowed to wait as my friend saw nurse, and its so cold outside. Books for sale in waiting room, which is brilliant. 50p each is recommended price for each book. A lovely surgery in my opinion.

Doctors are helpful and make sure they are thorough. They ensure needs are met and I personally have found the reception staff to be pleasant and all staff deserving of respect. Also thankful for the encouragement of sanitising hands, this should be done covid or not. A lot of vulnerable people frequent surgeries whereby even a cold can have severe consequences for them. Sometimes this means outweighing some needs at times for those most vulnerable.

I have been with this doctors all my life (37 years) Today I had to go there and Dr Akeems service was outstanding!!! He made sure he done what was required. Explained everything in detail to me. I never leave that place satisfied but after having the appointment with Dr Akeem I feel like I dont need to go a research what his said. I can take his word for it as his made me feel at ease. Great job. And thank you

My daughter called into the County Surgery this morning and was treated with little or no empathy by the reception staff. You really didn't need to be medically qualified to notice that her swollen face and tears were indicative of someone being in genuine distress. My daughter is a proper trouper with a work ethic that shames most of us and certainly this standard of employee. All she wanted to do - was to get seen, sorted and back to the SEN school where she works looking after young kids less fortunate than she is. I appreciate that surgery staff day-to-day are inundated with the sick and the needy - and it would get on my nerves too - but guess what - that's the job. If dealing with people kindly and considerately - day in - day out, is too much for you - go get a job staring at a VDU or a shelf or the dashboard of a van. Not one that requires this skill. And before you go thinking this review is left by some sort of keyboard wielding moaner who is in a minority in his opinion. It ain't. I hardly use the surgery - maybe once every couple of years - but if you listen to people who are regular users - they generally have a tale or two to tell about the miserable and derogatory staff, who either deliberately, or with little insight into the consequences of their own behaviour, create an unwelcoming barrier to care. Well - here's another one.
