Beautiful walk through the woodlands, set on a hill side so be prepared for some ups and downs! Very small car park but we didn’t have any issues parking. No fee
Drove down to get there, walked the entire length in about 15 minutes,there doesn't appear to be a circular route you can take. I tried to follow the routes but ended up getting lost in fields full of cows. Still at least it was good cardio.
A wonderful mixed woodland near to Oakamoor and between Cgeadke and Alton Towers. The site us owned and managed by the National Trust, access is free with plenty of parking at a layby, or in a small dedicated car park about further along the road from Cheadle. A variety of wildlife is on offer if you're lucky enough to see it and walking is medium difficulty with one or two trickier sections dotted about. Rarely more than a handful of people here.
A lovely 50+ min circular walk around the woods. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Small car park to start the walk. No facilities available. 2nd time visiting both in the winter season. Once in the snow which I would recommend as it looked like Narnia. Will be back in a different season.
A great place with walks for all capabilities. Locals are just the friendliest bunch! See photos of walks completed in and around the local area! The walks in and around the area are great no matter what the weather. In the summer I admire the colours of the flowers basking in the Sun. Autumn is my favorite season to go walking! The golden leaves against the glistening waterways is simply divine! In the winter wrap up warm and admire the icicles and frosts! Additionally if you're lucky the crunch of fresh snow under your boots! After a wild winter chill down start to defrost in the spring! See the wild flowers start to spring up and bloom and enjoy the sounds of spring birdsong! A bit fanciful I know but truly a place that can bring joy whatever the weather! I love it!

Perfect location to start hiking, around 10 space only for parking but what’s good it’s free Check the weather, it was a bit muddy
Something for every season. Autumn colour and a wide variety of fungi but don't eat them ! Limited but good free parking
