Worth finding this magic location. Great woodland & canal walks with wildlife to match. A pub, preserved railway nearby, lots of industrial history.

Cheap parkimg and plenty of it. Consall woods offers many walks from the carpark - making this place a perfect bade for exploration. The forest is well looked after with many birds to listen out for while you make your way through the beautiful trees to a river walk. Or canal walk. Lovely place. Nice place to see stars too.

What a fantastic place to go for a walk. We thoroughly enjoyed two of the routes. Great for dogs, our youngest was four, with some help she made the big steps up & down. Lovely streams and ponds to view.

Some of the walking trails are very steep, one area is very muddy and the boardwalk is rotten and in need of repair near the steps so take care - this is pointed out not as a complaint but so you can be prepared with suitable footwear and know what to expect. Not much is suitable for prams or wheelchairs at this site. Lovely to hear the wildlife though and excellent views, plenty of parking. Walking distance to Consall steam railway station and a little country pub.

Poor signage, nothing to say where the round walks start. Visitor centre looked closed up, not sure when or if it opens in season as no signage again

Beautiful place in ALL seasons and all weather! Plenty of parking and good to have the toilets there too.

A number of different walks to follow. We followed the white trail but think we went off key a little. Nevermind we had a wonderful view over the Churnet Valley. It is recommended you wear trainers or appropriate footware if you decide to walk the white or purple route. Definitely recommend for a nice afternoon walk in the fresh air.
