Staying here was under unfortunate circumstances for me and my family due to a house flood, all staff made our long stay as comfortable as possible especially Andy who went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The staff were brilliant everyday, didnt get everybody's names but from the manager to the the cleaners all the way through, a brilliant service and very much apprecaited by all.

Always use this hotel when in the area working. Great place. Clean rooms, bed is so comfortable. All staff are friendly. Big shout out to Andy as he is a great asset to this hotel. Always approachable, friendly and always seems to be happy. A great asset to this hotel

Reception Staff were exceptional. Friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to Andy and Lianne. The Hotel was one of the nicest Premier Inns we've stayed at. However, our experiences at The Crown next door were a bit hit and miss, varying from excellent to barely acceptable.

Good location for what we needed. Staff were very welcoming. Rooms were hot as others have said. Fan supplied did very little to help as the windows are so small. There was also a smell of drains around the building and also within our room which wasn’t nice especially as difficult to ventilate rooms. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Overall, it was ok for the price paid and for a 1 night stay over. Wouldn’t rush back.

What a great find - rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are very comfy. Located right near the A1 but very quiet so sleep isn't a problem. Free parking right out the front is a bonus. Breakfast is provided in the adjacent atmospheric 1600's pub - delicious! Staff provided a warm welcome and gave some great recommendations on things to do around the area and beyond. Couldn't have asked for better for our first night in the UK! Thank you!

If you work days you'll get a comfortable nights sleep but if you work nights expect a full on fire drill in the afternoon and the manageress has got an awful attitude and thinks she's the bees knees Infront of her minions

The staff are very friendly and helpful also greet you with a smile.. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom was clean too. For breakfast you have to go to the on site pub (The Crown) can get a little loud in the evening with coming and going of customers but it's not to bad... But overall you will enjoy your stay.. You have quite a few things to do like nature walks or you can go to Cambridge for the museums, university or go for a nice stroll by the river..

On a very hot week, I was disappointed with the ventilation. Windows did not open wide enough, fan did not work well, with little force behind it and the cord was too short to allow for its placement to get any benefit at all. However, the staff were great, the room and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable. So, under normal conditions, everything would have been fine.

I stay in Premier Inns quite often and I stopped leaving reviews because the were all the same. Clean and comfortable, right? This one had too many minor annoyances. The staff were very helpful and tried their best. The chair was broken and they swapped it. But it had a very dubious stain on it, see photo. I put a towel over it. They took the batteries out of the room thermostat to stop people fiddling with it. Instant coffee only at breakfast, I don't use instant coffee at home, this reminded me why. Hot water for tea and coffee was from a flask that you press the top to pump it out. I thought it was empty as only a little came out. Waitress said that's how it is. I counted for the second cup. 38 presses to fill a cup. This caused quite a queue for no reason. Ordered bubble and squeak with breakfast. None came. Apart from the stain, All these are minor grumbles. Nothing to get upset about. But taken all together could be seen as a drop in standards.

The premier Inn was lovely enough. Great reception team happy to help etc. However the crown pub its attached to is a lot to be desired. We waited over 2 hours for breakfast. They said it was unusually busy and only seemed 2 girls in. But surely the hotel would keep the pub informed of how full they are for breakfast purposes. It would have been better if they had told us as we walked in that there is a huge delay but it wasn't really acknowledged until it was so far gone. Not great and probably wouldn't stay again at that one anyway.
