This is a review which is overdue from about 6 months back, but haven't forgotten to post it. We like travelodge generally when we're out an about across the country. It's nice because you know what you're getting, just in a different "font". However, what really sets apart this one is the excellent team. My husband forgot his wedding ring in the room, which was quite expensive. Before my husband even realised it was missing, **James** called us and said the cleaning team had found it. Thank you so much to this incredible team for being so honest. The world is a better place with people like you in it.

Thought there was a bar here - wrong. BASIC ERROR Bit out of the way for most basic things but ideally located for link roads into town so, I suppose that's a bonus Good tips for dining and takeaways from the evening staff...suggestions for Uber, Deliveroo etc. Clean rooms and friendly service too. There is a famous steak house in the same grounds though, 20 yds away with very good beer and spirits at ok prices. And they don't mind if you just want a tipple...!

Does what it says, a lodge for travellers. Comfortable room, clean bathroom with decent shower. Couldn't hear the traffic of the busy roads because it's on the edge of an industrial estate. If people complain about a bit of dust etc then pay more and go somewhere else. Great value for money

Stayed here for a few nights with my small dog and really enjoyed our stay. The park out the back is great for walking and play, lots of squirrels around for the dog the chase. Clean, welcoming and quiet.

Stayed one night. Minimal service as expected at the price, but room clean, comfortable and importantly during my visit, warm! There is a kettle with coffee, tea & sugar sachets. Vending machine in lobby for snacks & drinks. After 10pm front door locked & access via an intercom, to what I presume is a remote call centre as no night receptionist. Fortunately, someone was leaving as I arrived at 10:30 so didn't test system. Corridor to rooms accessed by a digital fob, which would be better way to get in front door. Room key surprisingly a metal one not a card. Miller & Carter pub adjacent handy for meals after midday, but limited options for breakfast locally.

Staff were very friendly and helpful however it is a very dated travelodge Needing lots of work to improve the rooms. The carpets needed replacing, there was marks on towels and the bedding that looked like mould. Fairly big bathroom with bath for a travelodge however there were cracks in the grout and sealant that allowed the bath to leak.
