I was expecting a lot less and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, inexpensive and clean room, a good pint and some very friendly locals! Totally enjoyed my stay
Just spent Saturday and Sunday here.....it was lovely. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Most of all the locals are a really good bunch. Had a really great couple of days. Met people I'm going to stay in touch with. Thank you all guys a big thumbs up from Richard and Ed x
Quite a nice pub has a pool table and the staff are friendly cannot complain for a nice evening out drinking
Had Sunday roast was really good everything was hot and tasty. Staff were great as well. Definitely go back again.
Stayed here for one night at a weekend. Rooms are basic single rooms, clean though and not too bad for the price. Some of the bathrooms are a bit small for someone of larger stature. No food option served at night, drinks were good though, seemed a nice friendly pub. Staff were helpful and pointed us to local restaurants for food. Breakfast cooked to order the next day, was pretty good actually.
Good pub. Good selection of ales. Big screen sports. Pool table and skittles table. Helpful staff. Recommended.

Struggled a bit to park the car due to a small car park. But the staff and locals where very friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable and a good size room too. Very fair for the price
Needed a bolt hole just for a night and this was perfect. Simple but clean comfy rooms, very affordable, great friendly service. Staying for breakfast is highly recommended! Pictured is the "small" option! Thank you to the lovey staff at The George :)
