Absolutely darling place to stay, I was greeted by the beautiful cats and dogs upon arrival which I loved. My room was a superior double. Fresh, clean and the most comfortable bed I've stayed in for a long time! Great host's, very welcoming and caring.
Really friendly and helpful owners who gave us a wonderful welcome. The room was extremely comfortable with lots of space and there is a large private bathroom and a well stocked kitchen which is shared with another room. The bed was really comfortable. The garden is lovely to explore and I would love to visit again, for longer next time.
Disgusting experience. Our rooms bathroom smelt like human feces. Left after the first night. Hosts with a stingy landlord attitude turned around and falsely blamed us for flooding the bathroom, which they had previously confessed to having repeated issues and “£ 300 a pop plumbers” in since it’s a poorly maintained grade 2 listed building…? Extremely unpleasant stay made worse by blatant relentless lies from hosts. Complained to booking.com, after providing evidence we received a discount. Left with a foul taste in our mouth, smell of sewage in our nostrils and bad memories of Flore.
Patricia was a perfect host, and made mine and my bridal parties stay the night before my wedding perfect! Check in was easy and relaxed, the location and setting was perfect and it was very quiet ensuring we had a great nights sleep. Patricia organised for our breakfast to be brought to my room on the wedding morning, was accommodating of our hair and make up artists and other guests dropping in and out, and supplied us with prosecco glasses to enjoy the celebrations. It was the perfect venue to relax and get ready for the day, and I’m very grateful for Patricia looking after us and being so accommodating! Thank you!
Rooms are quiet and comfortable, and The Old Vicarage is conveniently located. Breakfast was excellent, well cooked, and very tasty. Hosts are very friendly and did offer an evening meal which can be made to order, but the room I stayed in had a little kitchen area which you could prepare food for yourself if needed.and there are several pubs close by where food is available. There's no TV in the rooms, but that didn't really bother me, I would definitely stay here again.
We spent 3 extraordinarily comfortable nights at the Old Vicarage in early December. The room was spacious and relaxing. The bed was luxuriantly comfortable. The ambiance was tranquil and pleasant. We slept surprisingly well (not often the case when away from home) and woke refreshed and ready for whatever (in our case, a bit of exploring, a bit of visiting, etc). Thank you to The Old Vicarage (and the two gorgeous Vicarage dogs!) for a truly lovely stay!
This was a really nice room! The room was almost the size of an entire floor in my house! King size bed, dining table with 4 chairs, 3 seater sofa and still tons of floor space! Well equipped kitchen available for use and everything was really clean. Hope the boss puts me up here again in the future!
The Old Vicarage is a lovely old house in a great location. The rooms are the converted stables and are done to a good standard. Catering facilities are available for the rooms, including access to fridge, microwave, cooker and associated utensils, cutlery and dishes. Location is quiet. No TV or radio in my room but had taken iPad. Reasonably priced accommodation and would use again.
Beautifully renovated barn conversion. Very warm reception by the hosts and renovated communications. Highly recommended, we will be returning!
