Sunday roast was a bit 'tired' by 6pm - roast potatoes very hard! Always great service and other items on menu were good!

The bed wasn't the most comfortable but I am fussy where mattresses are concerned. Shower still had hairs in it. It did seem a place for contractors as a lot of white vans in the car park. Ate in the bar that evening and the food was really good. Couldn't rate location as was there to meet some friends.

Kris, Suki,Megan and Michelle all add so much to this Hotel. Their humour, hard work, welcome and willingness to go the extra mile is a pleasure to enjoy. They don't seem to be either appreciated by their boss or the company? They work long and extra hours, as like so many places, the hotel is struggling to get hospitality staff, and retention can be a problem. Maybe their hotel manager Ashley should be leading by example? Paige the Chef extraordinaire and her team, make the hotel a place to enjoy a substantial, tasty meal. At a fair price, with lots of flavour but won't burst the buttons on your shirt and trousers. So if you like huge, sloppy meals don't come here. The decoration in the rooms and ensuite is very tired. But this again is down to Chef and brewer/ Green king not the staff. This is probably reflected in the price, and you sleep and bathe in your hotel room, which I have always found clean, and contains the usual extras. Occasionally a distant smell but soon sorted with an air freshener. What else do you need of a hotel room? I have only stayed here three times, but am always welcomed as though I've stayed a 100 times. A cosy hotel with a great potential.

Hotel was very cheap, cost us £36 for the night... Maybe you get what you pay for.. Hotel had a musty smell in hallways. Most of the light bulbs didn't work. Bathroom needed updating, it was a bit grotty. The outside of the hotel didn't look inviting at all. Such a pity, I was expecting at least travel lodge level. NOTE: The pub was 5 star (This review is for the hotel, I will review the pub separately).
