I stayed here for 2 nights as a base. I was competing at Onley equestrian grounds so it was a super location to commute between. The staff were absolutely fantastic, very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious, can’t fault it and you get a discount with the food if your staying there which was a nice suprise. Rooms were basic but absolutely everything you need, I slept really well both nights. The bathrooms were rather small but again everything you need. Will definitely be staying here again if I’m due to be in the area.

Warning...phone first before booking (and maybe hoping for a relaxing evening or early night)..in case your break coincides with a "music/entertainment night". Unfortunately for me, as my weary head hit the pillow, I was jolted awake by a screech of speaker feedback and the deafening amplified noise of karaoke renderings of Freddie Mercury, Barry Manilo and Elvis etc, all universally out of key, finally ending in the hoarse croak of "Yesterday", at midnight...That , and the 40 minute wait for an over priced, small dry chickpea burger made my visit unforgettable with an increased gratitude for my own home.

Been here a few times in the last few weeks and in this time I've had fish & chips, a roast and a chicken burger. All of those dishes were very nice but the true standout is the garlic mushroom starter. Something about it is just spectacular... Prices on food and drink are all very reasonable. We took advantage of the £20 for three courses (including Sunday roast) on a Sunday and I think that is great value. Beer garden is nice too.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Red Lion and it left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu featured an impressive range of dishes that blended classic flavours with modern twists, and the quality of the ingredients was apparent in every bite. I started with the grilled food appetizer, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour.

We went for lunch on 26th January and it was very disappointing. All 4 of us had fish and chips and the fish was terrible and the batter soggy. When our plates were cleared we told the waitress and she very kindly gave us 50% off the food bill. She spoke to the chef who told her he had changed fish suppliers and he wasn't happy with them. Let's hope he does! Have to say it's a lovely pub and service was excellent. Just need to sort out the fish!

Our company chose here for our works Christmas meal. This place did not disappoint!!! The hospitality was second to none. They catered to all our needs. The food was plenty and the taste was divine. This was the first meal I’ve had here but will not be the last! Thank you Red Lion Kilsby and all your staff. We had a lovely evening. Kind regards Patrick.

Staff were very friendly and efficient, pub very clean, bright and welcoming. Only disappointments were the "Ham"on the Ham, eggs and chips choice was possibly prepacked 'skinny ham' not real meat and we had 2 extra drinks of beer added to our bill which we had not ordered! (this was quickly rectified)
