   Fantastic Christmas break. The staff were amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. The festive events were perfectly organised — from the beautiful choir at the Christmas Eve reception to the brilliant jazz band at the Boxing Day gala dinner. The tasting menu at the gala dinner was very well put together, with wines perfectly complementing each course. Overall, it was difficult to find anything to fault.

   Great find. Spa and gym were brilliant. Food really good. Good cocktails. Service was great - we had a small issue arise, but the staff dealt with it without us having to bring it up - great communication behind the scenes.

   We recently stayed to celebrate my partner’s birthday and had the most wonderful time. This is our favourite place, and once again it did not disappoint. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, and the food was outstanding. Dining at the Cedar Restaurant is an absolute must — it’s a truly exceptional experience and a real highlight of the stay.

   Consistently the best Christmas trees in any hotel. Polite service. A tip to the person serving in the bar; if you don't know what is in a menu item, don't wing it. The food is fine. The crème brûlée is excellent but needs more brûlée! As for afternoon tea, it is generally quite lovely. The hall is beautiful, the staff are really nice, friendly and helpful. The chef has sadly made the wrong jam to go with the scones. It should be strawberry as a default. Also if you're calling something butter, make sure it is, and not margarine, which is just really poor. Tea was very good, coffee also. The atmosphere feels quite nice. The chap on reception is absolutely charming too. Parking can get busy but there is always space. The decor is excellent, toilets are clean and well looked after. This place deserves a visit or two.

Their professionalism was matched by a natural friendliness that made the hotel feel welcoming and effortless, while their attention to detail ensured everything ran seamlessly. It was clear that the team takes real pride in what they do, working together flawlessly to create an environment of comfort, trust, and outstanding hospitality. Special thanks to Stephen and Sky who were especially brilliant.

   Fantastic spa day. Beautiful location and lovely afternoon tea. The spa had great facilities, the staff were all incredibly friendly and genuine. Special thanks to Donna and Georgia - who did our treatments. The spa wasn't too over crowded either - everyone was able to space out and get the most out of the day. Really enjoyed every minute. We felt brand new after! You really have magic hands, the techniques and professionalism was outstanding. The afternoon tea was so delicious! We will definitely be back for more of that.

   Had afternoon tea here, only had choice of sweet which was disappointing as I wanted savoury, despite bing booked ahead of time they chose not to inform us until we got there. Was sat next to the busy waitress station so was very noisy and disruptive. It was all OK, but I won't be going back.

   My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying recently for our anniversary. From point of arrival through to departure, we were thoroughly impressed and extremely grateful for the care and attention of the staff. Naturally, the grounds, views, rooms, Hall and Spa are all simply stunning. Fully of character and well presented. It is the service though which we felt took our time to another level. In particular, the FOH team (Jasmine and her colleague) alongside Jayme in the restaurant were superb. From a guest perspective they were polite, helpful, cheerful, informed and all around struck the perfect balance of friendliness allied with professionalism. Additionally, credit to the chefs for putting together and cooking a superb set of dishes. Consistently good service and staff are hard to come by so similarly, thanks to the management team. We sincerely hope to return and have actively recommended to our friends.

   Only visited here for a business meeting but day rooms were very stylish and comfortable. Excellent bar and coffee service. Nice sandwiches for lunch. Truly unique style and furnishings justifying it's status as a Handpicked Hotel. Would like to stay for a short break.
