I bought a necklace last week whilst on a visit to a friend. The lady who I asked about it (LauraS), didn't know if they were freshwater pearls! The receipt says Clogau beachcomber pearls, but as it was exactly what I wanted I bought it.
I purchased this cross and chain 3 days ago from Hemstocks in Diss and returned it today for a refund because it’s so discoloured. The supervisor wasn’t the most helpful person in the world, and quite frankly, made me feel like it was my fault that it is discoloured. She practically interrogated me about what I’ve been doing with it, implying that I had sprayed something on it, asked me if I’ve worn it whilst swimming, when showering and if I put it in a box when not using it. I requested a refund which was refused outright because there was no real issues with it, it just needed a clean according to the supervisor. She was good enough to clean it obviously to prove to me there ware no defects present and offered me a credit note, somewhat reluctantly. She also tried to argue with me that I didn’t have a receipt, despite me pointing out that I gave them my email address when I bought so I could be sent a receipt. I’m not entirely sure what they done with my personal data but she said it wasn’t saved onto their computer system. I’ve bought a few things from this shop including my wife’s wedding ring, a warmer reception from them would’ve been nice. I’ll begrudgingly spend my credit note but won’t bother to return to Hemstocks if this is how they treat people.
Very disappointed with their service, I asked them to resize my wedding ring which was engraved on the inside. I made sure to mention it and make sure they keep the engraving but it came back with it all gone apart from two letters which are barely visible. They initially said it would take a week but it ended up taking double the time, and I had to keep chasing them for an update since they didn't call me even once to tell me about the delay or that the engraving was ruined. I would definitely not recommend them for any alterations to jewellery.

Had the best experience buying our wedding rings from Hemstocks. The ladies couldn't have been more helpful and were very patient. Couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you ladies

I know I give a lot of places 5 stars but that's only when the business caters to my needs! Hemstock's repaired a ring for me, matching a turquoise stone beautifully. Great service too.
The store looks clean and fresh. I think the black stairs might be a hazard for some. There's a great variety of stock and something for every budget. Shame they seemed understaffed during a busy spell on a Saturday. That said, I'll be going back soon.
