   Hired a boat (Catchalot!) from Hippersons as a surprise for my partner’s birthday and we had SUCH a wonderful experience. The team are super friendly and very organised - it was our first experience of boating and they helped get us really comfy with everything, and set us up for a wonderful time. We spent the whole day on the river (and enjoyed an amazing picnic from nearby Fen Lane Deli for lunch) - we loved exploring the beauty of the river, enjoying the abundant wildlife sightings (deer, Kingfishers and Harriers galore!) and spending the day relaxing on the water. We brought our somewhat nervous rescue dog with us for her first experience on a boat - she had a totally wonderful time and everyone was really kind and accommodating. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as an activity - huge thanks to the team for helping to make our day so special, we’ll be back again for sure!

   Hired a day boat and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very relaxing and beautiful scenery. Very friendly and helpful staff. Boat was also spacious. We went to the Waveney inn for lunch and also had time to go through Beccles. Worth being aware it’s goes a leisurely 5 mph or so, so not for speed lovers!

   A fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and the boatyard was a scenic and peaceful setting for a few days. We stayed in Coot Club and it was perfect for me, my partner and our 2 dogs and has everything you need to cook, chill out and get a good sleep. The rowboat was great too! We rented a boat for a few hours and it was a lovely day cruising along the river and mooring up at the Lock Inn for some food and then heading back. Highly recommend booking a stay.

   Hippersons Boatyard is located at Gillingham Dam, Beccles, NR34. It offer renting of boat for family and canoe for individual. The location is quiet and a lovely garden is located nearby.

   Wife and I had a wonderful day on the electric hire boat. Very helpful staff, dedicated parking and easy to control boat made for a perfect experience. Would recommend going up river to Geldeston Locks pub at the head of Navigation. Definitely coming back next year. Thanks to everyone at Hipperson's Yard.

   Stayed there for a couple of nights in one of the pods and that was amazing. Well equipped, furnished in style and the team is brilliant. You can rent boats, SUPs, Kayaks and stuff and the place is also a great starting point for day trips around. Should have stayed even longer, we'll be back!

   We hired a day boat for the second time in two years and had.a great time. Last year we were lucky enough to see two kingfishers and an otter. This year not so lucky but still had a very pleasant relaxing day. The day boats are easy to drive and moor. Josh and Matt were very both very helpful.
