Galactica is a really cool ride. Even the story too, itβs really sick. I rode this at nighttime on Saturday 1st november, and the lighted up bit/circle bit was BEAUTIFUL. I personally would rate it 5 stars IF IT WASNβT FOR ME FINDING OUT THEYβRE GETTING RID OF THIS RIDE. Alton towers, are you insane?? Youβre removing an iconic ride for more hotels and parking? If this makes the park worse, then I will not be happy. Even now Iβm not happy with the situation. Galactica. Should. STAY.

It's a great spot to enter the theme park at Alton towers resort, with the steamy mist it makes a great atmospheric setting that creates alot of excitement as you enter knowing you have arrived at the largest theme park in the uk and gets you ready for a fun day. One of the best rollercoaster rides in the busiest area of the park along side the new Toxicator and nemesis reborn

This ride is not worth the wait unless you are willing to fork out heaps of money for a fastrack pass. A group of friends and I visited Alton Towers in August, and in the morning we went to the Forbidden Valley, hoping to ride Galactica. When we entered the queue, both the Alton Towers app and the sign outside the queue read a 45 minute wait for Galactica. However, this couldnβt have been further from the truth. After an hour of queuing, we were now told that the wait for Galactica was 115 minutes, and that people at the back of the queue (us) would have to expect to wait that long. Whilst we waited hours with young children in the normal βpoor peopleβ line, the fastrack queue sped past. I watched the staff members allow a large queue of fastrack passengers (around 50 people in one go), whilst the normal line had been at a standstill for over half an hour. We were only able to reach the front of the queue due to people leaving the line due to the awful wait times. We paid over Β£60 each for our tickets, and to see the unfair treatment of the βpoor peopleβ in the main queue was nothing short of a classist nightmare. Alton Towers, I urge you to limit the number of fastrack passes available for purchase at any time, because our queuing experience was completely abysmal.

This ride is so fun. One of the best flying coasters in the uk. The only thing is it takes a while in the seats before you get moving. It also is a bit uncomfortable looking forward on the ride so I would recommend just looking down. The restraints are comfortable so that helps. If you get on this ride at the start of the day you can get on with barely any queue.

I rode this in May and it was a good experience The reason I rated this a 4 instead of a 5 is because it isn't as thrilling as other coasters in the park (eg. Nemesis Reborn, The Smiler), it was very smooth since its a B&M Flying coaster. I am not a big fan of the restraints, I prefer Nemesis Reborn's restarints.

I recently had the opportunity to ride the Galactica roller coaster at Alton Towers and I must say, it was an incredible experience. As someone who isn't typically a big fan of roller coasters, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and enjoyable the ride was. The seats were well-padded and provided plenty of support, so I never felt like I was being jostled around or thrown from side to side. The ride was also incredibly smooth, with no jerky movements or sudden drops that might cause discomfort or nausea. But what really set Galactica apart for me was the immersive VR experience that accompanied the ride. As I soared through space, I felt completely transported to another world, with stunning visuals and an amazing sense of speed and movement. Overall, I would highly recommend Galactica to anyone looking for a fun and comfortable roller coaster experience. With its smooth ride, comfortable seats, and incredible VR experience, it's definitely one of the best roller coasters I've ever ridden.

I love this ride, it's so relaxing and easy to ride. It's a weird feeling when you sit in the seat and then when the ride starts you get pulled up into a forward facing laying position. I wouldn't say this ride is scary, it's just fun and makes you feel like you are flying. It does sometimes break down so worth doing early in the day.

So, so much better since they ditched the VR headsets, which for me took away the fun and left me feeling as though I was just sitting down going nowhere. The flying sensation is so much fun and this was one of my first rollercoasters ever - itβs quite relaxing and not too scary! So much love but I wish theyβd rename it back to Air.

The ride is great for ages 8+. You canβt feel the drop and it isnβt scary. Well my VR headset fell off on the ride. I didnβt like having the headset and think it ruins the whole experience. I was upside down so I had to hold it and that wrecked it. I was underwhelmed by the drop build up. Amazing graphics thought just wish it had been longer? it ended up being a light, calm and peaceful sightseeing ride. A lot of air time. I didnβt feel much G force and the restraint was very tight.

Great ride! My son went of this for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it. If you are going on it, remove anything that may fall off ie shoes, glasses, hat etc.. as the staff have to close the ride to retrieve the item.
