Gone downhill since the managment change. Prices are WAY up compared to other pharmacies, more staff but longer waits and less efficient. As an example: Immodium instant melts pack of 18, years ago was under £10, then steadily went up. Few weeks ago it hit about £18 and now its around £21 for a box of 18 tablets. Another pharmacy I use, it was £8 a box for 18 a few weeks ago, they've increased to £11 for a box of 18. Half the price, not sure whats going on but I hope its not a deliberate rip off.

What's happened to this place? Used to be a great local pharmacy with lovely staff and now seems highly staffed but with people who don't know what they are doing. I asked for "a box of lemsip sachets", the girl didn't know what sachets were (even though it's written on the front of the box), and after asking the lead pharmacist I eventually got brought them and she tried to put two different packets (not even the same type of medicine) through the till when I hadn't asked for two. If the most basic request can't be easily dealt with then how do they deal with requests that require any form of medicinal knowledge? I'd choose a different pharmacy if you have the option of more than one, this place has really gone downhill.

I frequently use Chapharm Chemist and find them very helpful and friendly. On Friday 25th September I needed an urgent prescription for dressings for a leg ulcer, unfortunately my surgery had not forwarded the correct prescription to the chemist. I explained my problem to Tina, one of the staff, and also the the young man who was working preparing the prescriptions. They immediately came up with an alternative dressing which was perfect. I was quite stressed about this and also concerned but their actions solved the problem and left me with a stress free weekend. The surgery and also friends of mine all praise this chemist and the staff. A big thank you to all. David Jordan.
