Very disappointed with the staff I come to do flu vaccine for my son and I call before to travel 30 min and they said no more in stock
Excellent customer service and spacious. Easy to find anything you need. Clean and tidy Chemist that offered an efficient prescription collection service for vulnerable customers of the local GP surgery at The Crescent such as for the elderly and disabled after it was refurbished and looked fantastic after the changes. Also offered a vaccination service walk-in but usually better to phone before arrival to check availability of your individual requirements so their Travel clinic can offer you the best possible customer service and a few places to sit prior to your vaccination appointment if less busy times because usually full of customers.
Been with west's for many years, they helped make caring for my grandparents easier and now I'm house bound they help me too. The delivery staff are excellent, genuinely decent human beings, compassionate and friendly, all too rare these days. They are one of only a handful of services in this town that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
I called ahead to confirm my prescription was ready. I was told it was, but on arrival, they said it wasn’t — claiming the repeat prescription had expired, even though today was the correct collection date. The staff member was unhelpful, contradicted herself, repeated the same line without listening, and showed no understanding of the situation. This was a huge inconvenience, especially as I have twin babies under two months old and very limited windows to collect medication. Poor communication, lack of care, and no awareness of how disruptive this is for someone with ADHD and young children.
I've been using West Chemist for atleast 8-10 years, and they are probably the best chemist I've ever been to. The staff are caring, helpful, dint judge and go that extra mile. Honestly cannot fault them at all. Would never want to change to a different regardless of where I'm living. They deserve a medal!!!
