I will never shop here again. I would have given zero stars if that were possible. I went in to buy trainers for my son but ended up finding a pair of smart trainers for myself. I found my size, and the box clearly showed a price of £30. However, when I went to pay, the cashier told me the price was £35. She called for management, and after waiting around five minutes, a woman came over, took the box away, and returned a few minutes later saying the price was £35. I explained that the box was marked at £30, but she dismissed it as a “mistake” and insisted the price was £35. I then asked to speak to a manager. When he arrived, he repeated the same thing, saying the price had changed but hadn’t been updated on the box yet. He even gave a poor excuse, with a smirk on his face, saying they had no obligation to sell it at the lower price. We didn’t buy the trainers and walked out. Very disappointing customer service and a complete lack of professionalism.

I’m really disappointed with the service. It’s really unhelpful that a mother can’t get any support with her child’s shoe size, especially when trying to buy a gift. Staff would normally recommend what size might be suitable, and there’s no “wrong” answer — I understand every child is different, but some guidance would have been great. For a gift, the child can always grow into it, so hearing “we can’t help you” was honestly horrible. The woman with dark hair and glasses She told me she couldn’t bring anything out if I didn’t already know the size, and she took no initiative at all. I even had to prompt her to actually do her job and explain the sizes they had. What made it even worse was that she then told a young boy to go look for the shoes for us while she just stood over him and watched. The whole situation felt unprofessional and very disappointing. This is a message the manager to really look into this woman’s attitude I was so taken back from this response!

I'm not going to judge all stores based solely on this one, but this one is a disgrace. I went there today, Saturday, to buy a pair of futsal shoes and a pair of regular sneakers. To my surprise, there are no indoor futsal shoes, which is ridiculous when you can find dozens of them on the website. And to make it even worse, I arrived around 6:20 PM, since the internet shows that this store closes at 7:30 PM on Saturday, which was enough time for me to buy both shoes. The big surprise is that the employees look strange when you're near 7:00 PM and start telling all the customers that they close at 7:00 PM. Very good, very professional. At least have the decency to update the closing time on Google. This store could close; it's better not to have it as an option than to waste time.

I visited Sports Direct at White Lion Retail Park in Dunstable. The store has a better and nicer range of stock compared to others, but it can be difficult to find staff for assistance. That said, the staff who were available were friendly and helpful. With one more person on the tills, it would have been a 5-star experience. I went there looking for a good shoe collection and ended up making a purchase . Even though all the pros and cons this shop is the best compare to other

Myself and my father went to Dunstable Sports direct at around 17:50 on 23rd March to buy sports shoes. I requested the staff for a pair of shoes to try. After receiving the shoes we noticed that the shoes was not in a brand new condition, it had a scuff at the back and the inside of the shoe seemed like it was returned/ used as the price tag was not looking clean. After my dad tried the shoes, he liked the fitting. We informed the staff that we like the shoes and requested the staff politely if he can clean it before packing the pair, for which the staff bluntly replied by saying that we made the shoes dirty while trying the shoes. I asked the staff to see if my dads shoes are dirty as they were not dirty. For which the staff replied that he saw my dad making the shoes dirty. The body language of the staff was not friendly at all. After all this I asked the staff that I would like to speak to your manager for which the staff responded that he is the manager and then the manager, very rudely asked “do you want it”. At this stage I did not like the managers attitude towards me and I responded by saying No thank you. I could have let it go by thinking that manager must have had a rough day but after thinking further I felt that it still does not justify his approach towards the customer. I have been to the Dunstable sports directs few times and felt glad that Dunstable now has a sports direct but todays experience will make me think twice to go there again. It occurred on: 2023-03-23 I was Disappointed with spoilt evening.

Over staffed on a Saturday under staffed on a Sunday so be mindful of which day you pick to go if you need any assistance. Usually in great order and tidiness but there's no real atmosphere here. Don't get the feeling it's much of a team.

When buying trainers for my son I asked if they had size in stock and was told they were serving someone else so just stood there for 15 minutes while the staff member stood around waiting for a customer to try on 3 pairs of trainers. Once they finished we asked if he could help and would you believe we waiting 15 minutes just to be told they were out of stock, this took seconds to check so could of be done while he was standing around. We went and selected another pair in under a minute to then be told we had to wait again for him to serve someone else. Loss of staff just standing around yet no help. Decided I’d rather pay more just to have an ounce of customer care elsewhere.

Awful service from 3 separate staff, none of which seemed to know what they were doing. After finally findins a member of staff, we showed them some shoes on the wall that were priced £32, they brought them out in the sizes we asked for, and only told us that those shoes were £48 at the till after we had tried them on. When we pointed that out they just said there was nothing they could do and offered no explanation or alternative. We ended up leaving to buy shoes elsewhere.

So I went today to buy football boots for my daughter. It took me more than 15 mints to find someone to help me look for the size. I accidentally asked 2 customers to help me(I thought they work there). Also a customer asked me for help ( he thought I work there as I was wearing black). Anyways i have to be in the queue to ask someone to check if they have my daughter’s shoe size in stock. While they can see me they were talking to each other. A lady said she is going to ask for the boy to help me. But no one came. I was about to leave and a staff appeared and was asking the other customer if he needs any help. That customer felt bad for me and said sorry I don’t want to jump the queue. Finally someone was there to ask me what did I want. She went inside and checked them said no size . If you expect the staff to help you in this store may be you should go early. Not after 6 pm. (If you work and you only have time to go after 6 then this store is not for you). I don’t know how helpful the staffs are if you go early. But if this is how they react after 6 pm then the store should close at 6. I will never ever visit this shop again. If anybody reading this wants to visit this shop then try a time before 6 pm. Good luck.
