Truly the worst meal in a restaurant I can think of. I can here with my father today for a meal and ordered the ribs starter. It doesnt specify how many ribs you get however 2 ribs arrived, we thought it was a joke and then noticed how dry and almost zero meat on bone. We returned this to the bar and was then told there was no more ribs to give us. Our mains arrived, luke warm. I had the pie with mashed tatties... however the tatties were rock solid and in clumps, brussels looked old and I couldnt even attempt to eat either of those. The pie crust was nice but overall the fact the chef felt this was accepetable to present to a table was shocking enought for both me and my father to stop eating and asked for the bill. Never would we return. One positive was your male server, didnt catch his name but he was apologetic and very kind.

Just been here with my children and parents. The restaurant area was clean and welcoming. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The food was tasty. The chefs were friendly and polite also. The kids menu had good choice and both my kids ate it all and loved the ice cream machine with the sprinkles. Thank you for a lovely Sunday carvery

We visited about 7pm last night. We chose the carvery and were advised the turkey was finished but there was ham and beef. We went ahead with the carvery until we approached the serving area. The turkey carcass was in prime position with a small piece of dried up beef next to it. The ham was very small but looked okay. Having looked at all the dried up vegetables we changed our mind about having the carvery. The red cabbage was so dried up it was stuck to the serving dish. We returned to the bar and ask to change our menu choice. This was not a problem and we chose a pie. The duty manager Moira explained it had been a quiet day and if we chose a veg and potatoes we could have them freshly prepared. We chose cauliflower and cheese sauce with roast potatoes. The photo below shows what arrived at our table. All lukewarm or stone cold. At all times Moira did tried to make our experience the best she could. She refunded our money for the food and after finishing our wine we left. At first we were advised all food was fresh at 11.30am (we were eating at 7pm). However talking to the chef on departure she said the food was fresh at 5pm. I asked her if she had checked the temperature of the food and if she took pride in the food she served. I was met with shrugged shoulders and an expression which I interpreted as I don’t care. Certainly won’t be back. Sadly remember the days you could hardly get a seat in this carvery.

We recently hosted our child’s 7th birthday party the Buckie Farm pizza-making, and it was nothing short of fantastic from start to finish. The booking process was smooth and stress-free. Everything was clearly explained, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating right from the first enquiry. The party organizer was absolutely brilliant with the kids, fun, engaging, and clearly experienced. They knew exactly how to keep the children entertained while teaching them how to make their own pizzas. The kids loved it. The price was very reasonable for everything which included the pizza making, aprons, coloring in activities, ice cream and party bags. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a different way to celebrate a birthday.

Love an unlimited breakfast with a tea. Lovely food and all fresh. I think going early helps. Only criticism food wise is that I’d love some mushrooms. Our waitress was called Michelle and she was great! Very happy and friendly. Not overly fussed over us which I like but there when needed. Just what the Toby needs.

Did not have big expectations after lockdowns and I am so happy I've been proven wrong! New menu, great team, lots of space, food is good and still very reasonably priced. I've been here more than 10 times this year and have not been disappointed so far. Michelle is fantastic and the rest of the team are also very kind and efficient. It is too bad that the place's reputation is dragging it down as things are great this year and it deserves a lot more praise than it gets.

Regularly have Sunday breakfast with my friend here. Always good food and excellent service. Especially yesterday when they were very short staffed - Michelle is so efficient and coped amazingly on her own even though it was very busy. She always has a warm welcome for us and is always happy in her job - she is an absolute star!

We booked on Sunday just passed for a large party to celebrate my daughters birthday, service was brill, food was great, Michelle did an excellent job of taking care of us all even having the difficult job of taking the photographs which meant moving furniture to accommodate our large party! She couldn’t have been more helpful and we hope to see her again on our next visit!!
