Rude staff on arrival. 15h30 on a Sunday and was denied to sit as I was told that it would close soon. CLOSES AT 17H00!!! I decide to have some take away which they accepted, don't understand the difference when the tables were empty inside. I watched my box of food sit on the kitchen window for 15 minutes after cooking. The absolutely useless young girls were busy dumping the rest of pizza in the bin, rather than giving it away to the hundreds of homeless in Southampton. Instead of giving me My order that was getting cold. The food was absolutely dreadfull, had so much grease that it was sickening. Shame on you pizza hut. Standards of 10 years ago were OK... Currently, it is a dump with rude staff and horrible food. Last time for me

Visited as a family treat after a busy afternoon looking round Southampton and shopping. Expected a lovely meal and great service. Was greated and directed to a table and told to order online or via screens. There was no WiFi connection, so I went to the two screens available for ordering. Both screens were taken, and the two people ordering were taking a while, so I asked if I could order with the staff, to be told, no, only the screens or online. So I waited some more. I finally got to a screen and placed my order. £67 something for three of us using the main, side and drink option. Our drink glasses arrived at our table and we went to the salad bar. The salad was ok but above it, the ceiling was open with a water leak dripping down into tubs above the salad bar. Not appealing. We were eating our salads and our food arrived. We observed the drinks machines making funny noises and not dispensing drinks. We also observed three or four people going up to the team.to tell them this, the replies were, they have over heated. So no drinks for them. Eventually one person was witnessed speaking with a chap in a polo shirt who had been in the kitchen previously about the drinks machine, who then went into the kitchen (must have connected new syrups and water....?) and magically the drinks machine was working again. There were a lot of team members all looking bust with sweeping the floor, brining drinks and getting people seated, but no one taking orders or checking everything was ok with the food .... Not what I was expecting for our experience of eating out as a treat to ourselves. If this is the future of eating out, I don't want it. Very impersonal, very expensive for self serve and not an experience at all. Shame really as the food was delicious.

Pizza hut was totally empty and today is Monday but still they don’t allow us to seat in and have a food. They informed us to booked one day before if we have to enjoy pizza in pizza hut. If it’s busy then I totally understand but there are not even few tables reserved, totally unacceptable behaviour!

2 pizzas with tripple cheese, the only difference is that one had garlic. The reason why one does not appear to have much cheese? They are made by hand. Judge for yourself.

Went for the lunchtime buffet, it was quite busy but not queues out the door busy and they really couldn't keep up with the buffet. The every pizza they put out was gone in seconds, their wasn't enough for the number of customers, pretty much everytime we went up to the buffet we had to wait. Salad bar wasn't fresh at all.

I do like pizza hut, it's a shame that the salad side of it has gone down abit and needs upgrade, as also making sure salad selection is full and available, Good staff that served us, wasn't busy as it was almost an hour into closeing time, Very clean and good spot for meal , will be back soon as kids enjoyed. Visited today for buffet with family and friends, food was great made sure pizzas always full and ready once they ran out of one, Salad was clean and well organised this time always fresh. Dessert - Ice cream part perfect for kiddies to enjoy after .

I love a pizza hut and we had the buffet on a Sunday. The food was great at always but unfortunately it was rammo and we had a table at the very end of the restaurant near to the main rat run to west quays toilets. Atmosphere was just noisy and we seemed to mostly be forgotten by the waiting staff and as there is no mobile reception there the app through which you order wouldn't work. I had to get up from my table and all the way across the restaurant to get our glasses for a drink. Pizza hut is great but since it's the only remaining restaurant hut left in Southampton - hedge end one shut down I will probably stick to takeaway in the future - sadly this restaurant service and atmosphere is poor. If you fancy a trip to skate land Pompey there's one there if you fancy eating with people with no teeth
