Had the best expereince with my daughter's bday celebrated at Pizza Express, Oracle, Reading. The gentleman from the staff assigned to our table was amazing and the children had a fabulous time. All pizzas tasted amazing. Thank you so much for making my daughter's day extra special.
A huge thank you to the team at Reading Pizza Express. My mom visited the restaurant last Friday while she was in town for a quick lunch. She was visiting the country for a week and doesn’t speak the language, so when her card unexpectedly stopped working and she realised she didn’t have enough cash, she became quite stressed. The staff were incredibly kind — they reassured her, offered to reduce the cost of her meal, and even took the time to contact me so we could sort things out together. They truly went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and supported. When we returned the next day to pay the remaining balance, they refused to take it, insisting that everything had already been taken care of. Their compassion, generosity, and genuine human kindness made a world of difference. Thank you for showing such great character — we deeply appreciate it.
Was a bit surprised to see how empty this was for a Saturday evening, but it was a hot day and maybe people were at the beach. Got to pick our own table as there were many free. A very cheerful and friendly lady took our orders. We went with a balsamic vinegar/roasted onion topped garlic bread for a starter. For the mains, I chose the Romano Padano pizza, my daughter picked a vegan giardinera pizza (they were happy to convert the vegan cheese to normal cheese) and my wife chose the goats cheese and beetroot bowl. All the food was great and arrived pretty quickly. We were stuffed so skipped desserts.
I visited on a very busy Saturday afternoon before 5pm. I was welcomed and seated. Lovely girl named Victoria took my order. Wait was a bit long- what I expected because of busy time, it’s understandable. Food was good, but I didn’t really like the polenta chips, they didn’t have much taste. Before I paid through the app I wanted to redeem my free side which I couldn’t do for some reason, Victoria noticed my struggle and helped me. I am very impressed and grateful for her customer service. Rest of the team was very busy too. People in the kitchen worked hard and very fast. I had a problem with paying, my app didn’t work. I was helped by manager who I had a nice chat with. Thanks pizza express team!
Incredible Pizza & Fantastic Dining Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the most amazing experience at Pizza Express! The pizza here is absolutely top-notch – the crust is perfectly crispy, and the toppings are always fresh and flavorful. I ordered the classic Margherita, and it was heavenly. The mozzarella was melted to perfection, and the balance of flavors was just right. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Every time I visit, I feel like I'm treated like family. Whether you're in the mood for a classic pizza or something a bit more adventurous, Pizza Express delivers every time! Highly recommend this spot for pizza lovers – you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back for more!
Amazing food and amazing service! My only fault is that I really craved a tomato based pasta but was sad to see this is no longer on the main menu. My friend is vegan, thus asked for a vegan menu. To my surprise, the pictured Peperonata was on there! It would be helpful if this was on the main menu also, it's not only for vegans!
Pizza Express is obviously a known quantity. You know you're getting decent quality and they update their menu frequently enough to keep us happy. Excellent service and lunch here today as always. Friendly, smiling staff who were approachable, talkative and friendly. Tried the new truffle dough balls today - can highly recommend. Probably worth booking if you're coming here for lunch at a weekend - usually fairly full.
This is a great restaurant for an evening meal. The food is well made and delicious. The service is relatively quick, even for bigger orders, and our waitress was very polite and happy. The restaurant is not the biggest, and we did end up sitting quite close to strangers, but ut creates an intimate atmosphere. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and I will be eating here again.
Great location on the riverfront, on brand pizzas. Exactly what you’d expect from a pizza express pizza. The service and staff were extremely polite, efficient and friendly. The diavolo pizza was delicious and ‘nduja calzone was well spiced too. The only thing was the calamari, I’m used to the lighter flour and cornstarch batter as opposed to actual breadcrumbs like a chicken nugget. I didn’t enjoy the calamari so wouldn’t recommend it. Cheesy garlic bread was a nicer alternative.
Loved My first experience at pizza express! Went there with my siblings, and all I’ve them loved it, we got the Pollo ad Astra & the Bolognese. What stood out was the desserts, was simply amazing! The triple Salted Caramel Cheesecake & The Red berry cheesecake! And our Server Bethany was really Nice and helpful. Will definitely be back!
