I had an amazing time at Pizza Express! The food was absolutely delicious, from the perfectly baked pizza to the fresh ingredients that made every bite memorable. The atmosphere was good vibe and welcoming, perfect for both friends and family gatherings. The people there are so kind, friendly, and professional.
Waitress asked how many I said just me. She picked up a menu put it on a table and walked off. Anoying because I already knew what I wanted but no time to ask after ages of me sat on my phone. Prob 10 mins ( should be over as soon as I'm not looking at menu and not busy just a few in 8 tables maybe.) Then takes my food order and says Drink. Not asked if I would like one just drink. Then I get my started dumped in front of me with a mumble. I are that then waited ages. Then got asked if I want a different pizza and I won't be charged extra. Why would I not want the one I ordered.... lad then admits they cooked the wrong one. Never asked if ok or anything. Took plate asked if I wanted anything else. I said no thanks and waited and waited. Asked again about ordering more food. But no chance to ask for bill as gone again more interested in cleaning up to go home than coming to see if I'm OK want yhe bill or anything.. been waiting 15 mins since I finished. Is walking out the best way to get attention? I'm tempted but cba with any hassle over all service is a let down I usually spend over £40 have dessert and more drinks just didn't want to give them more money tbh. Overall very Disappointed in service here. I'm going to have to find someone to pay as I'm extremely bored of waiting. I went to stand up. She came over asked if I'd like the bill I said yes she put reciept and card machine on the table and went back to her convo. Absolutely the worst pizza express for service ever.
Came because travelling home from London to Hampshire, checked allergens and majority of foods are okay. Selected an item that had no allergens within the ingredients. Ordering took a while, they were busy. My order got taken, and we informed of 7 major allergies, everything seemed okay. 45 minutes later, 5 families receiving food who ordered after, we checked how ours was getting on. 5 minutes later everything arrived, I checked with the manager the allergies were taken into account during cooking. However the response was it’s our problem and they can not guarantee no cross contamination. Too busy, a small company, ovens not being used, and not their problem were answers given. Full cost of meal refunded, and we will never attend any pizza express again. No allergies? It’s fine providing you’re not attending at a prime time (we arrived at 19:15) If you have ANY ALLERGIES DO NOT EAT HERE. They genuinely do not care and believe they do all they can, but prepare all items together and then cook together. (Note the receipt … Allergies… NO!) Avoid.
I thought I'd leave another review as it looks as though there's been a Nepalese take over and I couldn't be happier. The complete change of staff made it a much better, and more enjoyable experience. Service was fast, friendly, and the food was actually cooked well; it reminded me of Pizza Express as it used to be. A very happy customer on this occasion!
Normal pizza express food (good if you like it), less service than most other pizza express restaurants and less atmosphere. But a good place to stop and eat while you’re passing. Some of the staff were good, others just trying to dump food and ignore people. Although I guess it’s harder to deal with surges in demand here, than a normal pizza restaurant.
I recently visited Pizza Express and I was extremely disappointed with the pizza I had. It was by far the worst pizza I have ever encountered - the pizza was soggy, the tomato sauce was tasteless and no amount of cheese could save it. Avoid this place at all costs! Waste of money .
Horrible service. I waited 10 mins to be served and the restaurant was empty. The staff saw me multiple times but just ignored me. They said they would bring the takeaway box to me so I could sit outside. After waiting I while I went into the restaurant and one of the chefs told me the box was just sitting on the side. Staff were useless and pizza cold as a result. I don't recommend
Sat down with a group of 4 and ordered pizzas. After 50 minutes with our food not turning up we asked the kitchen why it was taking so long. Turned out the waitress didn't submit our order correctly and so the kitchen never received it. Considering we were the only people in the restaurant this was very surprising. No one came to check on us or asked why we were sat there. Incompetent and useless. No apologies given, left with no compensation or offer to make amends. Bringing the brand name, Pizza Express, down.
Their poster says "a pizza in 7 mins", you'll be lucky! Ours took over half an hour, they weren't exactly busy in there either. It is nice food and much better than the usual services fried junk food outlets. Maybe get your co-driver to order online as you approach!
