Great Christmas menu and we got a uni days discount on top, which was better than the set menu offer. Peter took the time to serve us and checked the best offers. The app allowed payment online and wee sent a stamp for future use. Will definitely come again.
It was my first time here at Pizza Express. I had Ingrid look after my table. Ingrid offered excellent customer service. The food was fresh and nice and the music really nice for a late meal. I gave a extra tip because of Ingrids service,and polite manner. Lovely place i will revisit.
RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE. Asked to be seated in a booth area and a quieter area. That seemed to be an issue. Woman had attitude. Then ignored for 10 mins. Went to order and was told they would be right over but then we were still ignored and the table that was seated after us had their order taken first. Needless to say we left. A vague apology from one lady but the rude lady kept her back to us and ignored us some more!! Disgusting. We won’t go back and will make sure anyone we know doesn’t go either!! In comparison, the staff at Meadowhall in Sheffield are amazing and nothing is ever a problem. If u want to shop and have pizza go to Meadowhall, Sheffield. More shows, free parking and MUCH BETTER PIZZA EXPRESS
We had a disappointing visit to Pizza Express. We waited 25 minutes for anybody to take our order. I had the 3 course meal and my friend had a couple of courses. The food was nice apart from my pudding that was rock solid. When we finally ordered it wasn’t explained to us that because I gad ordered the 3 course meal and we wouldn’t be able to use any other order. I made I clear I was order the 3 course meal and should have been told by the waitress that I would be unable to use any other offers. When we came to pay it was explained we could only use one offer. This was poor communication on behalf of the waitress. She would not take accountability and was rude to use. After speaking to the manager he ‘apologised’ but then counted that it wasn’t the waistress’s fault. We were not happy with the customer service we received and would not return.

We had a great evening at Pizza Express Iron Gate Derby. We were sat in the window table - a distance from the servers - so a couple of times we had to get up to get their attention, but nothing too bad. It was busy and our kids both ordered amended versions of things to complicate our order. One arrived correctly, the other did not, but it was rectified as quickly as possible. Our server (Jas) was so lovely, with a great sense of humour and even helped us make it look like we'd eaten the others' desserts when they went to the bathroom!! It was very funny!! The food was delicious and all four of us ate everything (pretty unusual). This will definitely become a family favourite. Great evening.
First time visiting this branch for quite a few years. We ordered : Dough Balls, Mushroom arancini, Mushroom Pizza and the Vegetarian Calzone. Lots of new options on the menu which was great to see however even though we asked for all our food to arrive at the same time, only one of the four dishes was hot, the rest were lukewarm and the mushroom pizza was cold within 5 minutes which was very disappointing. This was also stated by my partner so wasn't just my opinion. The Calzone wasn't pressed together on the sides enough either, which meant all the ingredients leaked out when cutting. As we used a voucher we didn't think it was appropriate to complain when asked how it was and we had plans afterwards so it's not like we could have waited for a new batch to be cut The place was clean and also had toilets which was great, the staff were also nice, it was a great location for the Derby Feste but not sure I will return due to the temperature of the food.
The food was really nice, tasted fresh. The reason for 3 stars is the fact that I was charged £2 for soda water which is universally free from any eatery/bar... and this was for only the smallest glass too. I was not aware that I would be charged this, I have never been charged for soda water and I used to also work at a pub and it was a universal rule that you don't charge for soda.
Gorgeous food and attentive service for a huge party of nine of us. Food came out well presented and piping hot, and our server was always ready to clear the table, bring drinks and bring out the next dish. Between us, we covered most of the menu - calzones, leggera, pizza, lasagna, spaghetti, you name it - we had it! And they were all absolutely faultless, the same with the starters and desserts. Having only ever eaten in the main city centre Pizza Express, I feel as though I have missed out!
