Visited today with my friend and it was pretty busy but Chloe made sure we were so happy with our experience. She was amazing. Very smiley and was always running around making sure everyone was happy. She’s a true asset to this restaurant.
Went to Pizza Express in Derbian in Derby. Our waitress called Diana was brilliant. She was friendly, helpful and we had never had a double espresso to temperature until Diana made ours, by pre-warming the cups first, getting our pudding ready while the cups heated, then added the coffee last. The coffee was amazing and hot as requested. Diana is an asset to your team. Thank you Diana for making our experience extra special.
My wife and I don’t usually come out very often to eat but we are so glad that we visited this restaurant on the 29th of November 2025. we were absolutely blown away by Ben, his Customer Service was fantastic. We had a slight problem with our food (wife didn’t like the texture) and Ben immediately managed to change it for something else which was very much appreciated and made us feel comfortable and welcomed at all times. It was an absolute pleasure to eat here.
Went in with my autistic son for his 21st and from start to finish we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were friendly and ever so helpful answering our questions Highly recommended the Derbion pizza express over the iron gate one which I’ve been previously this one is a lot nicer and bubblier staff
Pizza Express Derbion offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious pizzas and welcoming atmosphere. We received exceptional service from Sasha, who was attentive and ensured our needs were met. Our favorites include the Pesto Pomodoro pizza and dough balls. Conveniently located next to the bowling alley and arcade center, it’s an ideal choice for parents with kids. It’s advisable to make reservations in advance.
**Additional update to this review- Pizza Express have been great in dealing with this complaint and have been very accommodating and courteous. Because of this we will give it another try. Wonderful customer service from Dylan.** Well, where to start. Very, very disappointing experience here. We were served quickly and the food arrived quickly, but that's where the positives end. The vegan pizza I ordered for myself was wafer thin with so much passata on it and next to no vegan cheese with no seasoning whatsoever. The gluten free pizza (pictured) was a sloppy mess, again thin as cardboard. Two other pizzas were also sub par with no seasoning. One of the chefs was watching the football on his phone whilst making pizzas, so clearly wasn't focused on the job. The prices were extremely high for the poor quality we received. This visit was also for a birthday and so put the end of the day on a bit of a downer for us all. We certainly won't be returning.
Staff were great, we were able to amend our orders which was great. We used Tesco Vouchers which was great especially on Valentine's Day, we are glad we had vouchers as we think the menu is pricey and don't think without the vouchers we would have gone. There was a few items out of stock so my partner couldn't have what he originally wanted. I tried the Tikka Paneer Pizza for the first time, it was very different to what I normally have and it tasted like a curry in a naan bread it was great but did leave an after taste. My partner had the garlic and prawn pizza and he enjoyed that. We had sides and a dessert which was great and we left feeling full.
Came here with my wife and two young lively kids after a cinema trip. The little ones really loved their food and the staff were great with them too. Super friendly! Thought the kids meal deal was really good value as well and they enjoyed the little activity book with pencils! Will definitely return here and would recommend it to other families too. Our food was also delicious!
Great service from the team at Pizza Express in Derbion. Very busy but seated quickly, guy introduced himself and told us he’d be over when he could. Took drinks orders followed by Fred and recommended the app to save us 50% off Pizza. All in all a great experience, food wasn’t as good as normal but service made up for it and very reasonable after discounts.
Had an amazing meal here yesterday for my birthday with the family. Nothing was too much trouble, accommodated any requirements. I even got a brownie with a candle in! We all said how nice the food was, short wait and piping hot. Was a lovely atmosphere and Millie our server was a delight. Thanks so much for a fab birthday meal!
