   A hidden gem! The food is delicious, not just the sushi, but also warm and veggie dishes. The pumpkin kastu is a firm favourite, as well as the spider sushi rolls. While a little way out from Reading town centre, Oishi is absolutely worth it for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is really nice to eat in, great small selection of drinks, we really enjoy coming here. Highly recommend.

   Simple but great sushi, noodle and rice options with a good range of proteins including tofu steak. We went with a salmon sushi platter which didn't disappointed; a couple of chicken ramen and a chicken katsudon - all were simply great. Their homemade chilli oil is exceptional and should be used sparingly! Nice team. Go support.

   I’m really disappointed with my experience. I ordered the chicken ramen but received pork instead. To make things worse, when I poured the soup, I found a dark hair in it absolutely unacceptable and unhygienic. This completely ruined my meal, and I won’t be ordering from here again. I strongly advise others to be cautious about the hygiene standards at this place.

   Oishi is by far one of the best sushi restaurants in Reading. The staff are always polite, knowledgeable and efficient. The food is unparalleled. Every dish I have ordered there has been prepared with fantastic attention to detail and beautiful presentation. I can’t recommend the restaurant enough!

   Went for my son's 16th birthday as he's a lover of sushi. Plenty of parking found on Western Elms Avenue, short walk to a small and cosy restaurant that had an ample menu. In short - go. Everything from the udon noodles to sushi was fantastic. You could see the care that goes into the dishes through the open kitchen. We'll be back.

   Love this little unassuming sushi/ Japanese soul food place. Sad they still can't have dine in...but got to try their takeaway and quality is still top notch. Dont understand the 1 star reviews...must be some envious competitors. We go out of our way to get our Japanese food fix...their unagi is so good and hope they weather this year.

   Great food! Probably the best sushi i have ever had! Superb setting, simple and clean. Raman bowls were amazing. Reasonably priced... But honestly i have to say it again... The best sushi I have ever had! Warm and soft, favourful and satisfying! Can't wait to go again! Great service too!
