Amazing food and lovely service, all staff were kind and educational in explaining how to cook the food best. The food was delicious and all for a good price. A great place for a small group to share a good meal.
Been coming here for years. Love the authentic taste of korean and food are delicious. Price is competitive specially for the portion they give.
Every time I go there, I feel so special! From the warm service to the delicious food, everything is just perfect. The owner is such a kind person, and it’s always a joy to be served by him !Totally recommend it! ❤️
I always like this restaurant..not a regular but going there for years whenever I get a chance...the flavours are authentic...I am not a Korean but I have worked for a Korean company and had a lot of Korean friends so I know their dishes very well.. The main complaint I have, the beef bulgogi had like 4 strips of beef and loads of onions!! You can see the picture...no idea why that is when they are charging over £10 for that dish alone...hope they will see and make some changes to it..because I will go there again and next time hopefully this is not the case!!
The food tastes like original Korean and there is a good choice of dishes to try on. We found the service a bit slow since there was just 1/3 of sits taken or even less. Be aware that depending on what you ordered the dish could be misleading. For example, I ordered stir fried squid and I received stir fried onion. In the dish were only 8 small slices of squid. However, after I pointed out the staff brought a complimentary dish. We can recommend this restaurant if you dare to risk your expectations with reality
The food was really good - very quick to come out and tasted amazing. The lunch deal was also a very good price, only £10 and it comes with a lot of food! However, the service was not great, the waitress serving us was not overly friendly and didn’t seem very willing to help. The atmosphere is also a bit strange. All in all, good food but not great in other departments.
Food was excellent, service was decent and, atmosphere left a bit to be desired. There's a button on each table which rings a bell to summon your waiter. We weren't informed about this so it rang accidentally, and someone came to ask if everything is l look. It's a good feature to have but inform the customers first! Food was very good in general. I'd highly recommend trying out the Korean table BBQ, a novel activity for most. Again, zero instructions given by staff about how to use it etc. This is important and should at least be offered. Summary: place your BBQ meat strips on the hot plate, should be cooked in about 30 servings or so. Remove from hot plate with tongs and enjoy. Atmosphere could be improved a lot. Dark decor overall. Too many tables for a 'quality' feel. Felt more like they crammed as many tables as possible in there. Tables seem a bit randomly placed e.g we were sat next to the counter which led to the bathroom. We could see everyone walking into and out of there, not something desirable. Overall I'd recommend for the excellent food, but they need to improve their average service and atmosphere.
Beginners guide : 1) wait to be seated 2) At the table press the button when you need service 3) if ordering food that needs cooking - the lid is removed (by them) and then you transfer your meat to the cooking plate if you order a dish . They just powered it on at full temperature. 3) cook the meat until piping hot when it touches your lip . Maybe 2 or 3 mins. Chop with scissors after cooking. 4) the small rectangles are your plates! GREAT; Outstanding value - £10 lunch deal is amazing Generally friendly if you can overcome some language barrier Great food, lots of options . Great experience cooking your own meat and fish, as long as you have someone who knows how to cook it. Due to the cuts, it takes minutes to cook, but table space is limited, so best to keep ordering, rather than all up front. We had a number of noodle and rice dishes, all were excellent. Fabulous range of drinks too, especially in the non alcoholic fizzy range.
Absolutely amazing! It was so fun being able to cook the food yourself! The atmosphere was really friendly, and the seasoning was on point! Definitely recommend anyone visiting Reading for the first time or wanting to try Korean food! Really cool experience and looked amazing in pics
