It’s a warm and cozy restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely. The starters were very tasty, but I’d suggest mentioning when you order that you don’t want extra chili flakes sprinkled on the soft-shell crab or squid — the dipping sauce is already spicy enough. The main course became underwhelming because the overly pickled bamboo shoots covered the flavour of the stirfry. The desserts weren’t a Thai or Asian choice or homemade; they looked more like supermarket chocolate pudding that’s been warmed up and plated nicely. I am not sure if soufflé is really soufflé. Let’s just say the desserts didn’t rise to the occasion. When we were leaving, none of the staff said a word or even a goodbye…It’s the kind of place that really knows how to impress you, but not how to follow through and end well. Probably because the people in this lovely town are so friendly and nice, but for the same price, you could find much more authentic Thai restaurants in London.

I dropped in for a lovely lunch this afternoon, and on every front (especially service) the Giggling Squid is a MUST. Harriet looked after us and was such a great advert for Henley’s top eaterie. Well worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed, Tony.

Went here for the first time today, and it won’t be the last. Molika was super welcoming, service overall was so sweet. Food was absolutely amazing, I would recommend the fisherman starter. We had the spicy basil stir fry chicken, seabass and spicy crab for mains. All of which were delicious and filling. Really recommend the Pink Lady and the Lychee Angel for drinks. Didn’t have time to try the desserts as we were absolutely full. Overall a great experience with lovely sweet staff. Papaya salad is always the best.

Visited Giggling Squid in Henley recently and, honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed. The atmosphere is nice, and the decor is quirky, but the food didn't quite live up to the hype. While the main dishes were decent, I ordered a piece of cake for dessert, and it was noticeably smaller than what you'd expect - definitely not worth the price. The service was okay, but overall, I left feeling like it was a bit overpriced for what it offered. There are better options in Henley if you're looking for value for money.

This is our first time to visit this restaurant. We were served by Alan and he made very good suggestions for food. He provided prompt service and paid attention to detail too. The atmosphere of this restaurant is warm and relaxing. We had good food and great time here.

I’ve been a long time customer of Giggling Squid - and have visited many locations. The food and service is consistently good and the prices are excellent too. The lunch menu in particular is a real winner. Today’s visit to Henley didn’t disappoint. The food was again fantastic and very authentic. But best of all was the stand-out service from Ek. He was so friendly and attentive and I’m sure we could’ve spoken forever about his native Thailand - and our love of the country too. Our lunch tapas were again brilliant. Despite rising costs, they continue to be very fairly priced, so 10/10 for value. At around £13/head, these four tapas portions will absolutely fill you up. Looking forward to the next visit.

We visited Giggling squid at Henley with our kids and our table were waiting for us when we got there with high chair for our baby. We’ve been welcomed, everyone was friendly, helpful and all our questions about the menu were answered. However, the food were brought to us less than 5 minutes after we made the order. It was clearly microwaved, the prawns very dry and chewy, although nicely presented. The starters and mains were brought at the same time. Unfortunately, we also needed to remind about the wine we’ve ordered and water for the table as we’ve been eating without any drinks. Our kids were given drinks straight l away which is good, sadly they didn’t eat anything. I was very looking forward to visiting Giggling squid but got very disappointed with the food. Expected to eat authentic tai cuisine but ended up tasting microwaved spicy seafood and mushy noodles.

Second experience at the Giggling Squid in Henley, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. It was a Tuesday in the early evening so the crowd was sparse. Food was good, staff were attentive, and an enjoyable experience all around. As most of you know who have had the pleasure of a visit to beautiful Henley, parking can be somewhat of a challenge, my advice is park in the Waitrose car park, you can pay for up to 3 hours and it is a short walk to the restaurant.

We had a lovely meal on what was a very special occasion for us. Great service, it was very busy but waiting time was minimum. Staff very friendly and polite. Will definitely return again..

Typically well done Giggling Squid. Lovely venue - crisp, clean and classy with a hint of old world (oak beams and pillars). Enjoyed Two Giggling Squid from the tapas menu - lovely chicken massaman curry. Portions are not huge - but perfect for a decent lunch. Staff are attentive and food delivered quickly. Very impressive.
