Fairly empty so hard to judge the atmosphere. I had no wait to be served, the barmaid was helpful and pointed out the specials and special offers. I did not have to wait long for my food which was excellent. The extra gravy I requested was brought to the table immediately and was plentiful and hot. I have eaten here before at a father's day BBQ and again the food was excellent, not your standard BBQ fair, but showed a bit of thought.

AVOID if you want to book for an event! We arrived and were very disappointed to see that the food we had paid for was being displayed on a pool table, in a room with no tables or chairs….for 40 guests?! The lack of food for £10 per person was embarrassing, a few trays of stale sandwiches and a small plate of prawns, onion bhaji’s, chicken nuggets and samosas. Looked like something you could buy frozen in Iceland. Good job we provided our own cake! definitely not somewhere I will be recommending or going back to. I am not someone who usually writes reviews but thought this was necessary to avoid others making the same mistake as we have not been offered any resolution.

Myself & my family visit this pub regularly and it doesn’t ever disappoint. We are a family of 4 and always feel warmly welcomed and enjoy spending time here. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive and always trying their best to please the customer. It’s a wonderful, family run pub and we will continue to support them for a long time yet. Thank you so much to everyone at The Fox & Hounds who always make our visits a real pleasure. Highly recommend.

Decent size car park with plenty of outdoor tables (although a little grubby) and a children's play area. Fairly quiet for a Sunday lunchtime, so service was quick. No choice of cider on tap or bottle, only a semi sweet. The dining conservatory was pleasant, although the view is the car park. Waited nearly 30 minutes for my food (halloumi wrap), spoke to the couple on the next table that ordered at the bar before me, their Sunday roast took nearly 40 minutes to be served! We all agreed though that the food was excellent and tasted fresh..so were forgiven the long wait. My only gripe was the side salad had balsamic dressing. Why? Am not keen on the taste, the polite and efficient waiter immediately took away my plate and it came back minutes later without the dressing.

I had the most delicious juicy southern fried chicken here. It's a must try! Great service friendly staff and a good place for family as well. Indoor and outdoor eating is possible.

Feel sorry for staff as everything we ordered they didn't have. No prawns for jacket potatoes, no halumi cheese for salad. And no berries for Eton mess desserts!!!!! Probably won't be booking again. 5 of us went and each of us couldn't order what we wanted

First time back in over 5years. Staff were very helpful and catered for my disability needs. I had pie and mash and my partner had jacket potato, presentation was good and everything tasted good too. Some meals seem over priced albit I guess in current climate they need to stay afloat.

It was out first time here and wasn’t disappointed. The restaurant leads into a conservatory and had plenty of tables. The food arrived hot with plenty on the plate. Typical pub prices.

Maybe a place for drinks, not for food for sure! The starters were lacking flavor (no garlic in the garlic mashrooms) the mix grill all meat was dry only the stake was done properly. Mc and cheese was great but not as a kid dish (good, spicy cheese). The play ground is a nice touch if the toys were not all broken... in General come here for beers and darts.

A good local pub. I'd say, more of a drinkers pub than food, but I liked the way that there is a seperate "conservatory" area to eat in. Solid burger, nice ribs and gammon. V friendly staff.
