   We had an amazing roast dinner at The Bold Forester today. We went for the roast turkey, and it was absolutely delicious — generous portions, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The veg was fresh, and the gravy tied everything together beautifully. Our son ordered a burger and it was massive — he was thrilled with it! Juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with toppings. He said it was one of the best burgers he’s ever had. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were friendly, and the service was spot on. We’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

   Staff lovely. Disappointed with the my food pie of the day .3/11/25. A bit runny. Too rich and something on my plate was very salty. The chips were great .TBH a bit disappointed as i was looking forward to a nice pie not a runny stew with puff pastry on . The Toilet room needs an update and the toilet was full of poo and paper . The hand-wash was empty . I won't go there again

   Had the Pleasure of having a taste of the BBQ food at the Bold Forester. Amzzzzzzzzzing, very tasty and plentiful. Some of our group choose to pick from the menu. Also very pleased, so a BIG thumbs up and thank you for a great afternoon . Highly recommend a visit.

   Some of the food is nice but some of the food is not of a great standard my mother had the pea fritters and they were terrible I I had to stay quiet and it was good and the mash was nice as well. By far the best thing about this pub was the service the girls who serve me very attentive and helpful thank you. Also they made me an ice cream sundae and when it came they forgot to put the cream on top when I asked for it they put some cream on top talk to you need to ask for cream on top of a Sundae?

   What a fantastic pub this is!! Visited with my family for a Sunday Roast for my girlfriend's birthday. Staff were all lovely and attentive! Food was great. Atmosphere was ideal for a cold, winter Sunday. And may I make note that it was so refreshing to see the owners speaking to and treating the staff well. Rubs off on customers well - and is a fundamental basic that far too many other establishments get wrong. Lamb shank was great!! Sunday roast was slightly small but very tasty. Will be back again soon, thanks for looking after us guys.

   Well haven’t been here for 15 years and I have to say the food I had was absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend the slow cooked pork belly it was a stunning plate of food and was lucky to speak to the chef who also had some of his family dining to tell him how much I thoroughly enjoyed eating his food. Staff were also very professional and very polite. Will definitely be dining there again and highly recommend to my friends and family and anyone else who would like great food at reasonable prices.

   Had a family meal for eight here lunchtime today what a fantastic place. The staff are very friendly and the food was fantastic. Having run restaurants and wine bars before I know when something is right and this is right :-) All the staff working together in harmony very nice to see as you do not see this a lot anymore. Hats off to the landlord who let me deliver the presents before they opened nice touch. If you haven’t been here yet give it a go we will be back in the summer !!
