Wonderful pub with ample grounds for kids to play outside (when it's not winter and cold). There is also some outdoor covered seating which, I think is available year round. Inside it's a quaint pub with a beautiful fireplace. Food was tasty, we had the Sunday roast and the lamb was literally falling off the bone. Roast potatoes felt like they might have been prepared earlier than when the order came in as they didn't seem as fresh as the rest of the plate. Overall, still a very good Sunday roast. We'd definitely return here.

I've been here lots of times, I find inside very noisy. We opted to eat outside under cover. It was evening and later very chilly. The heaters weren't on. My friend looked for blankets, but there were only cushions in the porch. Hey ho scrabbled around in the car for jumpers etc. The food was mixed. My friend had a light bite quiche which was presented lovely. I had peri peri chicken burger, which in all honesty looked a bit lame for £17 no side salad, garnish, just chips & the burger. It looked like it was missing something. It looked so lame I asked the server if it always presented like that. He said yes. I've only had lunch previously. I won't be returning for dinner again.

A beautiful place to relax and have food and drink. Im adding this review in 2025 August. We stopped here for a coffee and relaxing in the front garden. It was absolutely a great experience. Staff are so attentive, polite and the service is very good. We loved our espresso and hot chocolate with shortbread biscuits. We go go back for a full menu sometime soon. The tird time, we had dinner and I shared photos. Great service and lovely food. I would go back again with a group to have another lovely experience. Thanks to Rebecca and other staff who served us, and the chefs.

I live locally and have eaten here many times, and it's always been dependably good. I always used to be surprised at how good the food was given the amount coming out of the kitchen. Unfortunately my fish and chips yesterday was underwhelming and expensive. Decide for yourself from the pictures if it's worth paying £17.95 for... The batter was like a cheap supermarket frozen affair, the fish was small, and the chips portion small and overcooked. This dish used to be reliably excellent.

We went on a weekend, and it wasn’t too crowded. The Sunday roast was really good, and another food is quite tasty, and there's a large outdoor area where kids and dogs can play. It's reasonably priced, but the service is very slow and the wait for food is long.

We stopped by for Sunday Lunch here. Absolutely amazing food! The Sunday roast came with all the trimmings, including a huge Yorkshire Pudding and some delicious sweet potato mash. Highly recommend this lovely country pub! Staff were great, foods amazing! Will definitely be returning.

Lovely place. Great looking spot. Service was amazing even gave my friend a makeshift bag of ice for her recently broken finger. Great attention was paid to her during her painful time. Shame they forgot to wish her a happy birthday which I did specify when making the booking and when I entered the tally ho. Food was very tasty and the starters were also very nice. Coffee was a great dessert option. Bartender allowed me the use of her phone to call a taxi. Seems strange that they were unable to do this on behalf of a customer seen as it's a bit out of the way.

Great venue for meeting friends. Good selection of lighter meals as well as those that can satisfy a hearty appetite. Mini puddings with coffee are a great idea!

Good roast (7-8-21) gravy was delicious. Service was good and the new outside seating area is very nice. Large field for the kiddies to explore and a tractor for them to play on.
