   I've been going to Oriental Gourmet for years for my Chinese takeaways, to the point that I'll happily drive across town past other places to get there. They're competitively priced and I've never had a bad meal from them in at least 5 years. Particular shout out to their Chicken Satay skewers and the Singapore Noodles / Singapore Chow Mein. Full of decent quality meat, well seasoned and far too moorish! Others have mentioned a change in quality since the change of ownership, but that's not my, or my extended families experience at all. Highly recommended!

   Ordered a special curry a few weeks ago, thought it came out very fast but was enjoyable, went back and ordered chicken and cashew nuts, again order was ready very quickly. On arriving home and unpacking it looked very watery and the chicken looked like sliced chicken you would buy in a supermarket for sandwiches and tasted just like it too with the addition of a watery sauce, incredibly bland so didn't eat it. Not sure if there are new owners but seems completely different to previous experiences.

   Went to this Chinese/Fish & Chips takeaway for the first time tonight. We had A1 & A2 the 2 set meals for 1 for £14 as we couldn’t decide what to try. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, especially the beef & mushroom. I need to come back to try your fish & chips. Fingers crossed you could be my VERY local takeaway in the near future. No photos as we were hungry hahaha

   Lovely staff, very smiley and friendly. Affordable prices. Chicken satay is good, chicken is a little bit dry same goes for the chow mein but still enjoyable. Overall satisfied and will order again. Comes with prawn crackers which are very good, not dry. Chips were a bit cold by the time we drove a 2 minute drive away.

   We always gravitate back to Oriental Gourmet for our Fish and Chips, much bigger portions of chips than Sai's. The haddock is normally good quality and my wife loves their savaloy sausages and curry sauce too.

   Probably need to try cod and chips next time. Felt a bit special ordering fried rice when several people in front all took their cod and chips away...Not bad the chinese food as well. Pad Thai too sweet, not spicy at all.
