Great fish and chips. Friendly service. Book online and picked up 20 mins later. Parking is a bit of an issue.

Nice clean shop with friendly greeting. Big, tasty piece of thick cod, well battered and fried with fluffy, flavoursome chips for £11. Does what it says and delivers. Very happy with what I ate for supper.

Well, it’s okay if you want a quick and decent fish and chips in the Reading area, given the lack of competition. But I’m not going to rave about the place. There’s a small front courtyard where you can sit down to eat if the weather is nice, nowhere to sit inside. It’s basically a takeaway. The fish is your standard cod in batter, batter pretty thick and not light or delicate. Chips okay. Not particularly great value for money either, though I don’t remember how much we paid. All in all, if you’re passing through when you want a quick fish and chips then it’s an okay place to go to but I won’t say more than that.

Whapping portion, perfectly fried, chips were fresh too! Not double or triple cooked chips here which was a pleasure!

We tried Finns for the first time today via an online order for collection. It was super easy with only a 20 mins wait to collect. Everything we ordered (Cod, Sausage, Chips) was cooked perfectly, crispy and not greasy or soggy. It was fresh and hot. It was all delicious, their minted mushy peas were a nice surprise and really good. We also tried the pigs in blankets which I thought was a really fun way of keeping things Christmassy on the menu at this time of year. Don’t be fooled, they’re significant in size and came with cranberry jam which made them even better. The location is convenient although no parking directly outside (unless someone waits in the car - its permits only with double yellow lines) but there is paid parking on the main road a few feet away. Overall great value and a friendly smiley customer service. We’ll be going back soon.

Exceptional customer care. Finns rang me up to check that I had meant to order only fish. (I thought I’d ordered chips as well, so was SO pleased that they checked.). Food was delivered quickly and was delicious.

Rarely in Reading these days but paid a repeat visit this evening. Did not disappoint: excellent pieces of moist, flakey haddock in a crisp batter and well cooked chips. Very good.

Disgusting and inedible - under cooked fish, had to throw away. Rang and only advice was to contact ubereats, no offer of delivering an edible meal.

Having recently moved to the area we wanted to find a decent fish and chip shop. After a few try outs with other shops we came across Finn's and we are so glad we did. The fish and chips are always cooked to perfection and not at all greasy!! The only thing that's changed from our first few orders is mint sauce has been added to the mushy peas the past few times now so i won't be ordering those again.
