Best Chinese I've had for a long time! The salt and chilli squid and salt and pepper chicken balls came with all the lovely veggie bits in the box too. Kung po chicken was the perfect balance of sweet and spice.
I left this a few weeks cause I don't like leaving bad reviews for local businesses but I can't get how bad it was out of my head. This was the worst takeaway I've ever had. The salt and chilli chicken was so bland, no salt and chilli seasoning at all or any other seasoning for that matter. Just bland fried chicken with raw and cold onions and peppers. The szechuan beef was ok, a decent portion but its my staple from any Chinese takeaway and this is the worst one I've had in Aberdeen. At least it had flavour, just not the best flavour. Then there was the worst of all, the chicken fried rice. Again no flavour at all, just bland overcooked dry rice and chicken cooked so long it was hard to bite through. I'd offer other suggestions nearby for you to try but in all honesty, just go anywhere else.
We had a take-away from New East tonight & the food was absolutely superb! I had Chicken with cashew nuts & my husband had Crispy shredded chilli chicken & honestly, we felt we were eating top restaurant style food. My chicken dish was jam packed with not just chicken & cashews but also onions, peppers, carrots, mushroom & baby corn. The egg fried rice was also cooked to perfection, & the chips were also delicious! Vegetable spring rolls were also amazing! 10/10 for New East. Staff really lovely & friendly Can’t wait to go back for our next take-away! Thank you New East!
Overall a top quality place to order from, for me. My only issue is the "Cash only" service, hence only 4 stars for *Service* for me. I understand why its done, but customers love ease & convenience, so they know me for complaining about it lool. Yet I equally say, a business that doesn't compromise.. often has good authority in reason to do so. Everything else, top notch. One of my absolute favourite places to get a meal from. Never written a review, ever. Been ordering here since 2021, & strongly thought/felt they deserve a shout.

The salt and pepper chicken strips were uneatable if I had been staying in Bucksburn I would have taken them back
