Fantastic selection of food. Best poppadoms i have ever had. I could have eaten a stack of them. Everything was cooked to perfection and well presented. We will be back
Have used this restaurant few times for delivery and has been good, however not sure what happened last night!! ordered early, advised 45 minutes, actually took nearly 2 hours! food was cold, and not to usual standard, delivery driver also shocking but will leave at that!!! oh and popadoms we’re soggy not sure how long they had been around. Expensive meal which is fine but not for this quality, will use another restaurant for next order. Advice get your act together.
Warm friendly welcome on a cold Tuesday evening.. array of dips on the table ready for us. Biriyani Balti Vindaloo & Korma - generous servings of delicious curries. Naan's were soft and well risen on the top with a crisp base. Food = Perfection, Service - faultless. Definitely recommend and will return.
Terrible. Firstly for a Friday night it was absolutely dead inside. Barely any customers and when we arrived, the manager made me move my car to a different parking bay. The second I moved it, a dodgy grey car with a cracked window pulled up in the spot I parked in and headed through the back door to the restaurant! Service was almost too quick and as suspected, the food was mainly from frozen. I ordered chicken tikka which didn’t really taste or looked like chicken. More like kebab meat. And the morning after? I felt extremely nauseous and sick! I do not know what I consumed but I would not trust the cooking here at all. My stomach has been dodgy all day too. Additionally, their chicken tikka masala is sweet? Which is not how it should taste. Then we ordered desserts, which again came straight from frozen because my ice cream had ice flecks everywhere. Then they had the audacity to add on a £5 service charge! They had a tray of sauces already on our table which they charged £2.50 for even though we never chose to have it. The restaurant interior was also incredibly bland and boring. Overall I would never step foot in this restaurant again.
Visited last night to catch up with a friend. We were seated and straight away drinks orders were taken and pappadams were brought to the table. I really liked the addition of the coconut and carrot option added to the tray alongside the other dips. It took quite some time for our food order to be taken (I had to end up asking) which is the only criticism I have. The food came out and it was absolutely delicious, I genuinely have no complaints. They serve your plate warm too, which is a plus. My dessert came in a very cute china pot which I wanted to keep! Overall would recommend and would return.
It is a 25 mile drive each way for us to visit Miahs Spencers Wood so we go on special occasions and it never disappoints. Well worth the journey
10/10 service, came here for my 18th and have been here multiple times before. It's always beautiful and the service is always outstanding and they treated me as if i was royalty. Its perfect for any family event I highly recommend!

I first ordered food from here NYE 2021 and we loved it! We were back in Reading for NYE 2022 and ordered again. The food was just as good!!! It arrived hit, was tasty and truly hot the spot! I have seen some other negative reviews, but our food was spot on! Ordered: Garlic Murgh, rice, lamb biriyani & nan
Would not recommend Miah’s Spencer’s Wood. The food took over an hour and a half to arrive when it arrived they forgot two of the items and the rest were cold with layers of skin on the top after being sat under a heat lamp - image below. The food was also tasteless and plain (not what you’d expect from an Indian restaurant) Two of their staff were lovely and helpful but sadly one of their staff was rude and aggressive and really ruined it for them (the guy pictured below) He was rude abrupt and failed to listen when taking the order, he also got very aggressive when questioned about items on the menus and how certain deals work. To add insult to injury after hearing how unhappy we were they then had the audacity to ask for a 15% service charge. (On the way our spoke with another table and they echoed the same issues) On top of all of this the place was filthy and noticed them re-filling the chutneys back up when clearing the table (that a two year old from our party had put his fingers in) they then left these on the side. Along with this review I’ve reported them to the local Environmental Health Officer as well as licensing.
