The door can be missed , but once inside the staff are great and the food superb, enjoyed the chicken tikka biryani with a couple of Cobra as well as poppadoms , chutneys and garlic nan.
We had a big group of 8 and they catered to us all really well and efficiently. Even went the extra distance to specify what vegan options were available as well as what may contain allergens. Everyone really enjoyed their food, the peshwari naan in particular was delicious. Overall it was top tier; would definitely go back again and recommend it to everyone.
Ill start by saying the food was very good and reasonably priced. We dont live in romsey, so made the rare journey to visit. There were 6 of us in total, we all ordered individually, but also asked for 1 phall for the table. We called the waitor over to explain that its not a phall, with some of the medium dishes we ordered even hotter than it. The waiter persisted in arguing with us about it until he finally agreed to change it. 5 minutes later he came back out and aggressively started spooning it onto my plate without asking me, even though it was for the table. It goes without saying, they just made a stupidly spicy curry that tasted like vinegar (hot sauce). The food i had left was ruined as it was covered in the curry. Im not someone who normally complains, and as we collectively spend around 300 on the meal, i expected to be treated a little better.
We went to this Romsey Indian when staying nearby last week. I selected it based on the reviews of other but was a little disappointed with the flavour of the food. We were originally placed on table next to the toilets / even though the place was practically empty. We asked to move, which we did. We had pompadoms and they came with 3 dips. We both had Rogan Josh - me the prawn and the old fella had chicken, plus a portion of rice and garlic bread. The curry was not at all Rogan Josh norm, the sauce was not tomato or onion based and slightly odd tasting. The nann wasn’t dry garlicky and we were filled but not particularly satisfied. Would not visit again. Sorry.
Our favorite curry house in romsey normally. Curry was tasteless and naan was cold and dry. When I called to ask for the money back completely refused, offered money off next time but sadly we won't risk it next. This was a treat and wasn't cheap so very disappointed.

Not a bad setup, not unpalatable dishes, but very far from the standard of an average Indian restaurant, especially when it comes to hospitality. The waiters were very much in your face, quite abrupt and on this occasion visibly disappointed when we didn't order side dishes. From taking orders to handing over to the bill, to making it obvious that at 10pm we'd overstayed our welcome, they have a lot to learn about treating customers with respect. It's a shame because the restaurant really is quite nice. Maybe just a coincidence, but I also a had a suspiciously bad gut following my plate of vegetarian dhansak. There's definitely only one Indian restaurant I'll visit in Romsey from now on, and it's not this one unfortunately.
The food here is great. Curry is well flavoured with a complete depth of spices. Not just hot like some.I have been several times.
