“Our first visit here last night and was a delicious meal. Started with the Thai chicken wings which were in an amazing sauce and then had the chicken pad Thai which was delicious in a slightly sweet sauce. Also great they sell Chang beer.”

“We went for a family meal on a Tuesday night, age range from 15 to 83 years old. The food was delicious and the service from Nino was very welcoming and friendly. We hadn’t been before but will definitely return”

“The Empress of Blandings Pub & Restaurant is a fantastic spot that strikes a great balance between a classic pub and a quality restaurant. The menu offers a wide and varied selection, with something to please everyone, and the portion sizes are very generous-come hungry! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. Don’t skip the puddings-they’re absolutely delicious and a real highlight of the experience. A great place for hearty food and a cozy vibe.”

“Went for a saturday night family dinner. Walked in rather than booking a table due to other plans falling through- would definitely recommend! Staff were accommodating and lovely, with good service. We had 4 different dishes and they were all to a good standard, a little more expensive than other pubs in the area but the food matched this. Lots of decent vegetarian/vegan options that have clearly been thought out rather than being an afterthought, very impressed. I had the risotto which was delicious. The only downside was one of our wineglasses had a lipstick stain on it, but everything else was clean and I imagine this is not a regular occurrence. The pub is also dog friendly, including some tables in the restaurant area. Lots of parking. We will definitely be returning!”

“It's our first time visiting this restaurant in Romsey, easily accessible from bus station up around the corner which was convenient for us travelling by bus, entering via the garden which must be enjoyable under good weather though it's not yesterday. Atmosphere inside was quite cosy as it was an old house I supposed, we sit near the fireplace, it would be great in colder months when they lit it up with real woods sitting there; as to food choice, always good to choose from the menu, be sure to download their new app, check in every time when you dine there, you'll get a reward via the app & have all your activities in the app for you to remember with, we have ordered few plates to share with & a bottle of prosecco to enjoy, dessert to finish. Hope they would consider opening one in Southampton High Street area, so that we can go & enjoy whenever we desire.”

“We had a big group of 8 and they catered to us all really well and efficiently. Even went the extra distance to specify what vegan options were available as well as what may contain allergens. Everyone really enjoyed their food, the peshwari naan in particular was delicious. Overall it was top tier; would definitely go back again and recommend it to everyone.”

“Had a very enjoyable meal for Mothers Day. My Mum's seafood platter looked incredible. The waitress was very helpful and informative, especially in regard to my Mother-in-Law's gluten allergy. We had a very cozy table tucked away from the main restaurant. A very nice night all round.”

“I have been using Spice of Romsey for years. The food and service has always been excellent and I am even recognised over the phone when I place my order. Food is consistently good and they realistically cater for those that don't particularly like hot food, when I ask for a very mild vegetable curry, that is exactly what I get. So if you are looking for a first class Indian takeaway, then I suggest that you give Spice of Romsey a call.”

“Very cosy restaurant, headed by an established and talented Italian chef. The pizzas are lovely, the staff are friendly, and the portion sizes are generous. You can tell they take pride in cleanliness and presentation right from the moment you step inside, and the level of custom shows that people really enjoy this place. It is regularly completely full with diners. My only criticism is it can get rather hot in here, to the point where it can get a little uncomfortable, especially as the place gets busy.”

“Fabulous first fish and chips experience!!! Living in Switzerland we don't have these take-aways! We had heard that the fish was cooked to order, which it was - huge pièce of really fresh cod, batter was so crisp, and not greasy at all. Chips were also fabulous, thick, tasty and also not greasy. We asked for more chips than we needed, and the lovely man suggested 1 portion of chips for 2 fish which was definitely enough. Loads of clients there, but the queue went down really quickly as they are very organised. Staff are amazing, friendly helpful and very professional. This is the place to come, the others will pale in comparison!!”

“Such a lovely place to come and get lunch /dinner with friends or family. They have a lovely spacious garden and some playing equipment for the kids to enjoy. They also have a lovely Tractor in the garden which you can sit on and enjoy. :) The food was tasty and definitely worth coming for! They also do a wide range of gluten free options which was very good for myself. They also have a kids menu and have good options and the portion sizes are good. I would recommend visiting! ☺️”
