Really disappointed. Viewed menus on the internet and decided to give it a go. Turned up and looked at the menu and the fillet steak was Β£3 more than on the website menu. When we queried this we were told that prices had gone up and they hadn't updated the website. This is dishonest as it draws people in with reasonable prices then charges you more. This isn't the first time I have come across this dubious tactic. Then when you query it, just a shrug, no apology and a refusal to honour the prices with the comment that the prices on the menu board on the street were correct but refused to acknowledge that we drove over 30 minutes for my partners birthday meal. So as a tourist location customers will rely on the website for accurate information and prices. Do they really expect people to drive there and stand in the rain reading the menu! And they were pretty rude and dismissive to boot. We then went to La Pergola which is more expensive but much better atmosphere and has parking as well and had a lovely meal. Very disappointing experience at Dolce Vita.

Superb! We first tried this lovely restaurant in January (having always used a different local restaurant for our Italian food fix). This is now our go-to. Wonderful, authentic food & atmosphere. Staff very welcoming & attentive, but not obtrusive. Service excellent. Alex the Maitre de/Sommelier is excellent at his job, absolutely the right mix of friendliness & professionalism. He commented it was nice to see me again - he had recognised me from an earlier visit a few months previously. I thought this was very special considering how many people must visit. Thoroughly recommend

Very cosy restaurant, headed by an established and talented Italian chef. The pizzas are lovely, the staff are friendly, and the portion sizes are generous. You can tell they take pride in cleanliness and presentation right from the moment you step inside, and the level of custom shows that people really enjoy this place. It is regularly completely full with diners. My only criticism is it can get rather hot in here, to the point where it can get a little uncomfortable, especially as the place gets busy.

Fabulous little Italian restaurant in Lyndhurst with a lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly, welcoming and polite staff. I’d booked ahead as I’d wanted to make sure we were OK to take our dog with us, and on arrival to the restaurant had been reserved a lovely table by the window with plenty of space for him. They even asked if he’d like some water, which was a nice touch. The menu has plenty of choice, at very reasonable prices for the portion size and quality of ingredients used. Everything we ordered was delicious, and after three courses, a bottle of the house red (a very pleasant Italian Nero D’Avola), and a couple of Limoncello aperitifs, we left feeling full, very happy and content. There was a mistake in the kitchen with my pizza order, but it was swiftly handled without any fuss, and a replacement in front of me within just 4 minutes. Bravo! We’d very happily eat here again next time we’re in the area. Would definitely recommend booking ahead though - we went on a Tuesday evening (admittedly in the peak summer season) and every table was occupied at 7.30pm - popular little place, and understandably so!

My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday on the way home from a day out. We were warmly greeted and instantly felt at home there. The menu has plenty to offer. It really feels like an authentic Italian restaurant. The decor is beautiful and fits the way the staff treat you. I had the prawns for starters, steak for mains and Creme brΓ»lΓ©e for dessert. All washed down with a lovely red. A wonderful experience. Please go try it for yourself.

Ideal location to hotel we were staying in for Valentines day. Good choice of food. Would of been nice to offer Valentines menu and more choice of cocktails. Great food really enjoyed.

I was recommended this restaurant from a local and wow it did not disappoint. Fresh produce, beautifully cooked and such amazing flavours. Service was fab too! Thanks so much for a lovely eve β™₯️

So where should I start...steak was chewy, not sure if it was beef or a slice of John Deere tractor tire. Chips came with it was fresh...about 3 hours ago. Pizza dough was quite similar to a half dry clay slice and the toppings were nicely stacked in the middle, but nowhere else. So the food is good if you're on a diet as you will not want to eat it. Italian...are you joking? It's a disgrace to call it Italian.

Delicious Italian food, lively atmosphere and attentive and friendly staff. Beautifully furnished restaurant and feels like everyone was enjoying their meals. Have to mention the salmon tagliatelle as a delicious main and the affogatto as a superb dessert. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced to for the quality of food.
