Went for a saturday night family dinner. Walked in rather than booking a table due to other plans falling through- would definitely recommend! Staff were accommodating and lovely, with good service. We had 4 different dishes and they were all to a good standard, a little more expensive than other pubs in the area but the food matched this. Lots of decent vegetarian/vegan options that have clearly been thought out rather than being an afterthought, very impressed. I had the risotto which was delicious. The only downside was one of our wineglasses had a lipstick stain on it, but everything else was clean and I imagine this is not a regular occurrence. The pub is also dog friendly, including some tables in the restaurant area. Lots of parking. We will definitely be returning!

My brother and I meet regularly here ... he drives from Ringwood and I from Hayling Island! Ideally located, we enjoy a beer and catch up! This time we were very well looked after by the ever smiley Marie!! See you again in a month or so!!

Great pub, with gardens and seating outside - though it is right next to the road so some traffic noise. We had a delicious meal here last week (staying in nearby lodge). Tasty food, plenty of it and good value. Would recommend.

My wife and I had a very nice 1 night stay and we were upgraded on arrival which was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place seemed to be well organised. Roast beef dinner was nice and brownie dessert was very tasty. Prices are a bit high...£21 for roast beef is a bit too much and dessert was also pricey. I could have had an extra slice of meat, too...so portions could be a bit more generous. Nevertheless, a very nice place and I think we would stay again when visiting Romsey.

The original facade, when approaching from the town on the old road, is in complete contrast to the new building and the interior. Now incorporating ground floor hotel rooms in a very large extension, with modern bar and restaurant. Large car park, good selection of beers and friendly staff.

A lovely pub. Don't let the fact that it's a Fuller's make you think otherwise. Food was interesting and delicious. Our serve Kim was excellent. Attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back!!

Above and beyond! From the welcome reception, to the bar, drinks and dining, and the imaginatively designed and well appointed bedrooms gave us a rather pleasant experience worthy of the high review scores they have achieved. No hesitation in recommending for your stay.

Really nice staff, conveniently placed on route in and out of Totton. Food is very fancy though, expensive too, and when it rains really hard the conservatory doors leak - causing a water feather. Bar was accessible and whole area was clean. Very accommodating. Despite the rain, the experience was nice.

I really feel let down today. The restaurant wasn't busy for a Sunday lunch when we arrived yet we had to ask to order twice, waited 30mins for 2 drinks and didn't end up getting the bill so we're forced to queue at the bar to pay. What happened to the days of "is everything OK with your food"? NO it was so dry we couldn't finish it, if there were any staff we would have asked for more gravy! Such a charming setting they just need more ( or capable) staff and would have been 4 or 5 star Maybe just caught them at a bad time but am put of making a Christmas booking for 10
