“Wonderful shop and café right in the heart of a beautiful village. The shop kept open right through lockdown and this was down to a fantastic team of volunteers and supporters. The trout pate is amazing, but Sharon's cakes are the best homemade cakes around.”
“A busy little cafe with very nice staff. I only had coffee whilst I did some work on my laptop between clients but other people's food looked very nice and my coffee was nice. Lots of tables so although busy no one seemed to be waiting to sit.”
“A lovely place to come for a relaxing afternoon. There are 8 beautiful cats that are quite friendly & enjoyed being gently fussed. The host who greeted us was also friendly & welcoming when we arrived with our party of 9. We all had a nice time & a bonus cream tea! The scones were fresh & delicious. I'm delighted to say that the cats who live here are both happy & well taken care of.”
“Really nice visit. Great service and tasty food. We will be back.Highly recommended.”
“Lovley dog friendly cafe and very reasonable prices and tasty food will definitely go back next time we are in romsey 10/10”
“We had a perfect meal here on saturday. Our dogs were welcomed so nicely by all staff and the food was delicious and service was attentive and quick. Shout out for the croquettes - they were amazing! We will definitely be coming back and recommending to all our friends! Thank you!”
“Debbie in the Cosmetic department was really helpful today in sourcing my foundation & having it sent to the store. Wonderful to have a real store with human help & not AI or faqs!”
“Went for a saturday night family dinner. Walked in rather than booking a table due to other plans falling through- would definitely recommend! Staff were accommodating and lovely, with good service. We had 4 different dishes and they were all to a good standard, a little more expensive than other pubs in the area but the food matched this. Lots of decent vegetarian/vegan options that have clearly been thought out rather than being an afterthought, very impressed. I had the risotto which was delicious. The only downside was one of our wineglasses had a lipstick stain on it, but everything else was clean and I imagine this is not a regular occurrence. The pub is also dog friendly, including some tables in the restaurant area. Lots of parking. We will definitely be returning!”
“This 18th Century, Grade11 listed pub is an experience that shouldn't be missed. Nice pint of Fullers London Pride, with plenty of other beers to choose from. The original old pub has been extended to be more than twice it's floor area. Good food menu and friendly staff. Plenty of seating inside and out. Large car park. Frontage of the pub is best seen on the south side.”
“It's our first time visiting this restaurant in Romsey, easily accessible from bus station up around the corner which was convenient for us travelling by bus, entering via the garden which must be enjoyable under good weather though it's not yesterday. Atmosphere inside was quite cosy as it was an old house I supposed, we sit near the fireplace, it would be great in colder months when they lit it up with real woods sitting there; as to food choice, always good to choose from the menu, be sure to download their new app, check in every time when you dine there, you'll get a reward via the app & have all your activities in the app for you to remember with, we have ordered few plates to share with & a bottle of prosecco to enjoy, dessert to finish. Hope they would consider opening one in Southampton High Street area, so that we can go & enjoy whenever we desire.”
“This is a charming cafe set right in the centre of Romsey, looking out onto the main square. I had a chicken and brie panini which was truly delicious. And all of the young staff were charming and enthusiastic. Thank you and a Happy New Year.”
“Had my daughter's wedding reception here yesterday Martin and the team did us proud had an amazing time thank you so much”
“The Salted caramel cappuccino was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and talkative.”
“Excellent location fast services Delicious coffee Vegan Sausage”
“Love coming here for a breakfast wrap or a big boy burger. Lovely people and great food.”
“Our 10 year old granddaughter has type 1 diabetes. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly.”
“Was a bit worried about eating there given the low scores of reviews. However we are pleasantly surprised. Friendly, reasonable speed service, nice tasty food. We had breakfast (pastry) and lunch there and both were yummy. Would highly recommend to give it a go!”
“Amazing vegan cafe! The Mozz sandwich is unbelievably good, freshly made, delicious vegan cakes and pastries, really cool refil shop and always lovely staff that are friendly and welcoming.”
“Great little find in Romsey. The food was good quality and tasty, lots of options and the cafe seems to cater well for Vegetarians, Vegans and GF. Kids options were a good size, and you can't beat bottomless tea for £1 in 2025!”
“Went on a Thursday afternoon, was welcomed and seated within seconds. Luckily a table became free and it was very busy. Impressed with the speed of food. Delicious burger and milkshakes are given to you with the extra bit thats made so u can top it up. Really happy with the meal overall”
“10 of us ladies arrived no booking but it was no trouble for them at all, unlike a nearby empty pub that couldn’t take us? Food was amazing staff were full of fun and helpful beautiful toilet a great atmosphere we will be back”
“Great local pub in Winchester. We were 4 adults and 1 child, and we had 2 burgers and 2 Sunday Roast. I had the burger and it was DELICIOUS!!! Friendly and polite staff as well, the atmosphere was cosy, the decor is really lovely. Well done St James Tavern!”
“A cute but very small tearooms. Would definitely recommend booking a table. We sat upstairs (very steep stairs) The staff were friendly. We had the afternoon tea and it was delicious (they catered for our needs on the sandwiches) the scones were massive and yummy! We couldn't eat the cake as stuffed so that came home with us! Loved the way things were served in teacups Will definitely be back again”
“Lovely place. Friendly atmosphere with a nice autobelay area for kids who want a taster of climbing. I only boulder, so wasn't able to judge the rope climbing offering for non beginners. The bouldering area is quite small, with a considerably smaller number of routes than the other local bouldering gyms. My son who climbs V4 found the setting doesn't suit people of his height so well (a not-so-tall 12 year old), but I could definitely spend an hour and a half on the wall (I like anything between V2 and V4). The food is good too. A great place to spend a couple of hours. Just don't expect a bouldering area on par with Red Spider, Boulder Shack, Parthian and the Climbing Hangar.”
“A really friendly local country pub, served an excellent lunch, good drinks, all reasonably priced. Really enjoyed our visit with friends, will certainly go back.”
“This place is a true gem in Romsey. Great atmosphere, great service & an excellent menu, both food & wine. We might become regulars!”
“Lovely place! We only stopped for a quick beer but the food menu looks delicious with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We’ll be back.”
“Incredible all around. Only stayed for one night, but the rooms were impeccable. Great service and incredible land curry! They let me borrow their wall outlet to plug in my USB (huge lifesaver) since I forget my adapter at the last hotel. Definitely give them your business.”
“A lovely cosy pub. Excellent service and lovely food. Went for lunch with a friend so cant comment on the rooms.”
“Truly charming little place. Great choice of beverages and reasonable prices (the Flack's from round the corner is well worth a try). Chap serving us in the front bar on Monday evening was extremely courteous”
