Lovely atmosphere and amazing food. Service was friendly and quick. Highly recommended place.

Lovely roast overall with a huge Yorkshire pudding. However, the beef was very fatty and chewy. Very difficult to cut. Nothing mentioned when plates cleared other than asking if we would like dessert menu. Good portion of vegetables. Service was very good although they were very busy. Will definitely return.

I went in for a quick cold drink after work, I ended up having a small meal and a couple of diet cokes. Very friendly atmosphear and i was suprised but happy to see that they allow animals in aswell. I think a lady called Victoria served me, very friendly and seemed at home with the locals around the bar.

We had originally planned to dine elsewhere, but we’re so glad our evening had taken us to The Bear & Ragged Staff. We hadn’t made a reservation and the staff were quick to seat us. The staff were all so lovely and very friendly. The service was brilliant. And the food, the food was absolutely beautiful! When it came to ordering puddings, my in-laws went for ice cream. As a joke my partner suggested to jazz up their ice creams. We were not disappointed at all, their plain ice creams came out with a variety of fresh berries and strawberry sauce too. That, had absolutely made our evening. Thank you to all the staff at The Bear & Ragged Staff, we’re looking forward to dining again with you very soon.

This 18th Century, Grade11 listed pub is an experience that shouldn't be missed. Nice pint of Fullers London Pride, with plenty of other beers to choose from. The original old pub has been extended to be more than twice it's floor area. Good food menu and friendly staff. Plenty of seating inside and out. Large car park. Frontage of the pub is best seen on the south side.

Car park had plenty of space when we arrived (12:15 on a bank holiday Monday). Managed to get a table straight away but spotted several reserved from 1pm so worth booking if you're a large party. Good selection on the menu. Sandwiches available for lighter bites but we opted for full mains each which were delicious. Lovely staff. Visit was unplanned as we were going to the national trust place nearby but would happily visit again.

Steak, pasta and king prawns. Very good food - surprisingly quiet. Good beer too!

Perhaps our party made the wrong food choices. Plenty on the menu, other than the burger and lasagne which were both a bit disappointing. A shame because it looked quite nice. However, I am open to returning to try other stuff. Pleasant to be in. Warning - Triple cooked chips.
