“I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Old House at Home in Romsey, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The rustic charm of the place, combined with its modern touches, made for a perfect setting. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, each more tempting than the last. I opted for the roast lamb, which was cooked to perfection – tender, flavourful, and accompanied by the most delicious gravy. My partner chose the fish and chips, and it was hands down the best we’ve ever had. The portions were generous, and the presentation was top-notch. What truly set this place apart, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. They even took the time to chat with us about the history of the pub, which added a lovely personal touch to our visit. To top it all off, the dessert menu was a dream. We shared a sticky toffee pudding that was simply divine – the perfect end to a fantastic meal. If you’re in Romsey and looking for a place with great food, wonderful service, and a charming atmosphere, look no further than The Old House at Home. We’ll definitely be back!”

“It's our first time visiting this restaurant in Romsey, easily accessible from bus station up around the corner which was convenient for us travelling by bus, entering via the garden which must be enjoyable under good weather though it's not yesterday. Atmosphere inside was quite cosy as it was an old house I supposed, we sit near the fireplace, it would be great in colder months when they lit it up with real woods sitting there; as to food choice, always good to choose from the menu, be sure to download their new app, check in every time when you dine there, you'll get a reward via the app & have all your activities in the app for you to remember with, we have ordered few plates to share with & a bottle of prosecco to enjoy, dessert to finish. Hope they would consider opening one in Southampton High Street area, so that we can go & enjoy whenever we desire.”

“Very cosy restaurant, headed by an established and talented Italian chef. The pizzas are lovely, the staff are friendly, and the portion sizes are generous. You can tell they take pride in cleanliness and presentation right from the moment you step inside, and the level of custom shows that people really enjoy this place. It is regularly completely full with diners. My only criticism is it can get rather hot in here, to the point where it can get a little uncomfortable, especially as the place gets busy.”

“Had table for 10 last night for our mum's surprise 80th birthday. No pre order was required so everyone could choose on the night. Choice of normal or some Xmas options. The service was second to none. All drinks brought to table. Sean who looked after us was absolutely fantastic, a joy to have serving us. Made for a fun night and stepped in to take photos of the family. All the food was brought out in a good time, all hot, nothing was forgotten. Clearing service also seamless so a shout out to the young lady who was serving and clearing dishes. We all agreed it was a wonderful evening, lovely clean setting and I'd recommend to anyone. Thank you all at the white rabbit for making mum's 80th special.”

Our food was spot on tasty, hot well presented and perfect portions I had the mixed grill and was definitely one of the best mixed grill I’ve had in a hunger house, So thank you to the Chef/chefs who cooked it. “Had coffee here whilst waiting for our family to arrive at the hotel. We sat on the terrace. Helpful and friendly staff were at reception and the lady serving drinks was also extra friendly. They treated other guests with care and even giving water and treats to a nearby couples dog. Inside of the hotel looked nice and the toilets were clean and smelled nice. I did not stay here for long but would like to come back and perhaps try the restaurant next time. Sad to see some of the negative comments but will see for myself soon!”

My 6" Meatball sandwich was prepared by Emily with the loving attention to details of a top double Micheline Star executive chef. From the moment of entering the modern yet contemporary entrance portal I was swept away in a sea of professionalism and smiles with my special requests of "Cheese and Toasted" dealt with immediately and to absolute perfection. The store manager Emily should rightly be proud of the exceptional environmental she has created with the support of her crack team of sandwich artists.”
