   Great quality, good portion sizes, traditional British pub food. I had a delicious mushroom & Camembert tart. My mum really enjoyed her steak pie. Great value food in a lovely traditional pub with helpful and charming waiters. Would recommend to any families not wanting to break the bank with a good quality meal out.

   Service with a smile doesn’t even begin to describe it. The staff were wonderfully warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The food was exceptional — every dish perfectly done. Sitting among the locals added a lovely, authentic touch; it truly felt like being part of a family gathering rather than just another meal out.

   Lovely food, warm welcome and great service. Dog friendly and great food options. Max had the chicken veg and gravy with an extra sausage, all served in a massive bowl, he wolfed it down and slept all night. Great place to eat, not bad prices…

   Red Rover! More like Red Flag! A positive was that there was plenty of space to park... But that should have been a sign to be honest. Menus were filthy. Three menus later we moved tables, as an example of the menu was split down the wall in the form of food and drink. The second table was by the window and wasn't great either as all the dead flies seem to gather there! The roast turkey which we had ordered did come out very quickly though, but as the place was quite empty (Sunday at 3pm!?) seemed a bit worrying. The roast turkey resembled the sort of turkey you would buy for your sandwiches from the vacuum sealed packaging at your local supermarket and was quite tasteless, limp and watery! (Maybe the flies had died from malnutrition!... They should have checked out that wall on the last table perhaps?!) Veg was ok though. After complaining the waitress seemed to be a bit embarrassed and did reduce the bill. All said our server (Emma) was good.

   So pleased we booked as it was extremely busy, they were turning people away. Food & service was excellent. Value for money. We all had a great experience for my partners birthday lunch. Highly recommend, but do book!

   We've lived in the village for a year now and hadn't been till this last weekend. We feared, with it being a chain pub, that it would be a bit soulless and bland. Far from it. It felt like a really nice, classy country pub. The staff were outstandingly friendly and helpful, really kind to our little girls as well. The food was really, really good. The menu had so much choice, especially for a Sunday. It was all cooked to perfection and was so tasty. Our guests were mightily impressed. We'll definitely be returning, can't speak highly enough about this place our, more importantly, it's staff. Fantastic.

   Really nice "local" pub with lots of original features, despite the Greene King branding. Friendly, helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Although it was chain food, it was cooked to order and well presented. The drinks and food were reasonably priced

   Probably some of the best food and service we have received. Went in and was greeted by a lovely young lady who got us our menu and seated us. Service was fast, food amazing. They are really dog friendly and have dog bits there to make your fur babies visit just as nice. Would definitely come back again when around that way.
