It was a lovely experience popping in here when looking a place to eat on a weekend away. The staff were so friendly and we both really enjoyed our meals. I asked if any extra heat could be added to a bean chilli and was no problem. Great hearty home cooked food and well priced, My wifes cottage pie was £12 from the specials board! So glad we chose to go here.

Fabulous food. Amazing staff, very willing to help and provide safe food free from gluten suitable for our child. We were super impressed with everything. Lovely family run pub with nice atmosphere and lovely staff! We wouldn't hesitate to come back. Even provided some uno cards for our children to play with at the table. So grateful.

Great pub, nice food and friendly welcome!! Popped in here on a Saturday lunchtime for a quick bite. It’s recently changed management and gone is the huge portions and massive menu. Nothing wrong with the old place, we’ve never had a bad meal there but the portion size was bordering on the gluttonous!! Now a slimmed down menu with a salt specials board, reasonable prices and tasty concoctions. Mixed bean chilli and a seafood madras was ordered with a pint of local Flacks double drop ale. The food arrived in short time and was decent portion size and very tasty. Both dishes came with addons as can be seen in the photos and overall a very tasty reasonably process meal. It was a bit quiet in the place although lots of tables were getting reserved signs put out for later which was a good sign. They also do a bikers night on Thursday evening’s which I believe is becoming quite popular. Overall it’s a great local pub and definitely on our list of approved hostelries!!

Lovely atmosphere! Stopped in for some pudding and drinks! Service is lovely! Puddings were Devine and although we didn’t eat dinner here the meals we saw leaving the kitchen looked amazing can’t wait to come back and try the main meals!

Called in today while passing and found the Coach and Horses to be a lovely pub with a good choice of fresh food. The landlady, Charlotte was very warm and friendly and couldn’t do enough. We will be calling back.

If I could give it more stars I would. Probably the best pub lunch I’ve had. Every little bit was home made. Perfectly presented even the chips came out slightly salted. Portions was huge and really good value due to this and the quality. Service was great. Pub nice and clean with plenty of parking. It was really quiet god knows why as I will definitely coming back soon.

A lovely hidden gem in the New Forest. As a group, we were on the mission for a last minute Sunday roast. Everywhere else was booked up, but after eating here, we couldn't understand why this pub wasn't either! The food was all delicious, sizes were generous. Staff were lovely. There was over an hour wait for food after ordering which was the only down side.

Fantastic, this pub went through a dodgy period for a couple of years ago, but it's time to visit again. Nice food, great portion sizes, lovely outdoor drinking and eating area. If you were burnt Couple of years ago with poor service and poor food and vowed never to return ..... now! is the time to change your mindset. Just do it, you won't regret a visit
