   My first time buying fish & chips after receiving a recommendation but the cod in batter was so stodgy (thickest batter I’ve seen!) and overcooked…. I did send a contact form on their website to complain but no reply. I’m sorry to say I won’t be visiting again, so disappointed… Also the mushy peas had too much liquid

   The service was the worst I have ever experienced. The man serving us, who had a tattooed musical note on his face, did not greet us or smile and was openly rude throughout our visit. The food was unacceptable — the chips were raw in the middle and completely inedible. When this was apparent, his attitude became even more unpleasant, as though he was making a point of being rude rather than addressing the issue. We will not be returning, and we will be advising our friends to avoid this place as well.

   I had friends stay from abroad. They had never had fish & chips before. I went in 1 hour before to pre order 10 x fish & chips plus many sides. Went back soon after and all was ready on time. Have free bottles of drinks as well. Great service. Friendly staff and empty plates. Huge portions so be ready to fill those bellies. Thanks again.

   Probably the best fish and chips ive had in reading, considering i got it delivered too my house too, it was piping hot still and fresh, the batter on the cod was so light and crispy and the thick white flakey cod inside was amazing and there was literally no grease at all , i will definitely be coming here from now on

   Decent Chips are a basic necessity for a chip shop arent they???? Especially with current prices today. Last Roll of dice here for me as Chips are terrible. Sorry but dry and hard. I'll try elsewhere

   A very busy chip shop, great food but rarely get what we ask for. Takeaways can randomly have missing items. Tonight we ordered 3 kebabs with salads, we got no salad in any. Kebab meat with chips and it came without chips. This is a very regular occurrence. The staff are always incredibly busy which is great for them but a down fall for customers at times.

   I'm giving 2 stars because I have been a customer here for many years! Food this evening was terrible. Chicken were like cardboard, I think it was either refried or microwaved. Tasteless as well. Chicken wings were oily and we're not cooked properly. I hope the proprietor is noticing that in the past year, reviews have not been too good. We complained some time back and he said he was aware of the situation but things have not changed. I hope it will get better.

   Food was very bland , curry sauce , gravy, and tempura prawns we're cold. They had wrapped sausages up with fish so the non meat eater wouldn't eat there cod. Ordered via just eat to collect, still had to wait nearly 15 mins without a apology or any reference to them running behind. After spending 60 for 4 people was hoping for better.
