   Tried this place out with my mate this evening - admittedly after multiple drinks - and we both thought it was pretty good. It was very quiet but it's clearly more of a takeaway place than an eat in venue. We both enjoyed our food but nothing stand out. Service was a bit slow but we were happy in the main. Food was tasty enough but "presentation" could have been bettetr.

   Exceptional Food by Avilah Catering (Wedding Event) ​Led by the wonderful Nike, Avilah delivered an outstanding service for our recent wedding. Given it was a mixed wedding, finding a caterer who could expertly manage both palettes and ensure every guest felt catered to was our top priority and Avilah not only met this challenge but excelled at it. ​The Positives: Quality, Quantity, and Care ​The feedback we received from our guests regarding the taste, quality of ingredients and quantity of the food was overwhelmingly positive on all fronts. Nike truly delivered on my primary request: ensuring no guest left hungry! ​The selection throughout the evening was superb, from the canapés right through to the mains and desserts. We went for the Family style option which was the best choice for us. The canapés were a personal highlight; they were inventive, delicious and perfectly sized, making them easy to enjoy despite the pre-weddinh jitters. The mini akara burgers, the large spicy prawns, mini (more like medium sized) Meatpies (5 star!) and the salmon blinis were standout hits and we appreciated that all selections catered to various dietary requirements seamlessly. ​Beyond the food, Nike provided an unexpected and genuinely kind gesture by offering takeaway packs for the guests. This was such a lovely touch that went above and beyond our expectations and was highly appreciated by everyone. Additionally, we must commend Nike's outstanding professionalism and crisis management when she stepped in to calmly resolve a tense moment involving separate bar staff over a misunderstanding about the glasswar. Her swift action diffused the situation and ensured our celebratory atmosphere was maintained. ​Areas for Growth ​While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, there were a few minor points of feedback we received that could elevate the service from excellent to flawless: ​Cutlery Quality: We received comments that the quality of the cutleries provided was not in line with the high standard of the food and presentation. Upgrading this small detail would significantly enhance the dining experience. ​Service Consistency: It was reported that one table was unfortunately skipped during the dessert service and were told they had run out of brownies. While I understand that Nike can't be everywhere at once, the servers should also ensure consistent service flow across all tables for large events. ​Confirming Preferences: There was an instance where guests interested in the peppersoup were served tomato soup without confirming their preference beforehand. Double-checking guest choices, especially when two cultures are in the mix, would prevent disappointment. In conclusion, ​Avilah Catering played a crucial role in making our wedding day a success. Their ability to manage diverse culinary, nagging aunties needs with such high quality, coupled with Nike's personal touch and genuine kindness, makes them a highly recommended choice. We are so grateful for their effort and the delicious food they provided. ​We highly recommend Avilah Catering.

   They were AMAZING! Catered at 200 guest birthday for me and were great to work with. So professional and friendly made the day even more enjoyable. I am still getting compliments and queries for the food today! I'd work with them again in a heartbeat.

   I booked Avilah to cater for a 50th birthday and the service was great. From the initial enquiry, to the day of the event the team were responsive and helpful throughout. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and we received many compliments from the guests saying the same thing. The team’s organisation and service on the day was very smooth and they provided a personal touch for the day. I would definitely recommend for them to cater for any event and would use their services again.

   Delicious EGUSI with pounded yam, however, the portion was very disappointing. I got massive pounded yam with only 1 tiny piece of beef and two tiny pieces of cowfoot in the EGUSI for £10. No, madam. I need something to eat with the massive pounded yam.
