I had an amazing experience at SKVP Reading. The food was absolutely outstanding — full of flavour, fresh, and truly authentic Indian street food. The service was excellent as well. A special mention to Mandeep Kaur, who attended me with so much humility and kindness. She was very polite, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended! Will definitely visit again.

The food is delicious, comes within a minute for delivery and the service is excellent. It's pretty empty but the staff, especially Varun, are very friendly people. Before I knew I wanted to order, I had to use their bathroom and he was very kind and polite to let me and also in his manner. I will come back often for their £2.50 Vada Pav in a bun takeaway.

What an utterly disappointing experience once again! Years ago, as a family and group of friends, we decided to stop ordering food or takeout from SKVP due to their declining service, customer support, and food quality. We waited patiently to see if things would improve, but unfortunately, nothing has changed. Recently, after six years, we gave SKVP another chance, hoping for better, but sadly, the situation remains the same. On June 24th, we visited their Reading store and placed an order at 8:11 PM (receipt image attached). After waiting over an hour, only part of our order arrived. Despite multiple follow-ups, the remaining food wasn’t served until 1.5 hours later. To make matters worse, as shown in the attached pictures, they served some Indian ketchup with the kids’ fries, which were cold, half-burnt, and appeared to have been fried three times before reaching our table. My kids ended up throwing them away! The overall food quality was appalling—misal pao was watery, vada pao was cold, and the portions were so small it was frustrating. Prices have risen significantly, but both quality and quantity have drastically declined. look at the colour of potato bhajiya… over cooked :( Sujay and Subodh, it's time to take control of this store before it’s too late! Feel sorry for the lady staff at the till. Her name is on the receipt. We will NEVER return and will definitely be sharing our honest feedback with others in Reading. This was a complete waste of time, food, and effort. We highly recommend trying MADRAS FLAVOUR next door instead—excellent staff, delicious food, and outstanding quality.

Shree Krishna Vadapav in Reading is a fantastic place to enjoy authentic Indian street food, and I would give it a solid 5-star rating based on my recent visit. We tried the pav bhaji, pani puri, sev puri, and paneer butter masala paratha, and every dish was delicious and full of flavour. The pav bhaji was rich and buttery, with perfectly spiced vegetables and soft buns that soaked up the sauce beautifully. The pani puri and sev puri were fresh and vibrant, offering a great balance of tangy, spicy, and crunchy textures—definitely a must-try for fans of chaat. The paneer butter masala paratha was a wonderful twist, combining the creamy, mildly spiced paneer butter masala with the crispy, flaky paratha, making it a satisfying and unique dish. Overall, Shree Krishna Vadapav is a top choice in Reading for anyone craving authentic, tasty Indian street food in a relaxed setting. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning to try more from their menu.

This place made my day! Absolutely amazing food, great options, and it’s delicious beyond description. I needed only one bite of the vada to feel nostalgic about Indian street food. It’s all so moderately priced as well. Truly an amazing find.

Good selection of vegetarian Indian street food. Most of the food was really good and I will definitely be coming back to try more. Very friendly service too.

It was first visit, food was ok,, ambience was more like roadside tapori in Mumbai,, unique,,, but service was more rustic, grab a table, place the order, staff will serve the food . Same like McDonald's assisted service,, didn't expect that,,, best wishes,,

Sharp drop in quality and service ..... within one week of opening the takeaway/restaurant. See the pictures attached for difference in Kachori Chat "as served" on Tuesday and Saturday, same week. It took 30 minutes to be served a kachori Chat and Samosa chat only, and it was served one after another. Samosa Chat was served without any yogurt and tamarind chutney on top. When questioned, I was told that's how samosa Chat is made :) They allow the space to get too crowded, so sitting there to eat is not really comfortable. Suggestions : 1) Need to increase kitchen staff to speed up order processing. 2) Manager need to do quality check of the food being served to ensure kitchen staff is preparing the dish every time consistently and to the good quality standard. 3) Size of water cups should be increased. The current size is good for shot of espresso , not for drinking water. 4) Should keep Sanitisors at entrance for those who wish to use it. 5) Need to ensure dining area is not crowded with people placing order.
