From the moment I phoned through my order, I felt the warmth from iffy and felt welcomed and valued. Despite it being a busy Saturday AND me giving the wrong postcode by accident and sending the driver somewhere else the customer service was excellent throughout. Kind, caring, warm and communicative, couldn’t have been lovelier. I was hoping the food would match, and I wasn’t disappointed. Iffy thee in a gorgeous pomegranate raita for us which was absolutely delicious with our poppadoms. I had the king prawn green which was flavoursome, fresh and an all round great choice. I couldn’t fault it. The chicken danazak the same - melt in the mouth and full of flavour. Pershwari naan was perfect- sweet, fluffy, gorgeous. This is a rare find and we are so happy we did! We will are 100% new loyal customer. Great good, great service, couldn’t recommend it higher. A lovely experience.

Not sure what’s happened, order was delivered an hour late, the food was cold, not standard, swimming in oil and inedible. The sauces are not standard for Butter Chicken / Sag Paneer, and regardless the sauces are split. I would not recommend. The order size was also small, with containers half filled. This order has gone straight into the bin.

I had an amazing experience at Mumbai Wokingham! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The food truly stood out. The selection of starters is not only generous but also incredibly fresh and flavourful. Each bite felt like it was made with care. My personal favourite is the Chicken Mirchwali—a perfect choice if you enjoy bold, spicy flavours like I do. It’s packed with heat and depth, and absolutely hits the spot. I’ve also tried the Mixed Grill, which offers a great variety and showcases the kitchen’s skill with perfectly cooked meats. On top of that, the chefs are more than happy to adjust dishes to suit individual preferences, which is a rare and much-appreciated touch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine with great flavour and flexibility. I’ll definitely be back!

Exceptionally nice Indian food at very reasonable prices. Really friendly staff too. We had just moved to the area and were made to feel very welcome. (Paneer cheese was especially good, plus very nice vegan friendly options). We will be coming here again!

We have been ordering from Mumbai since they opened and find this establishment second to none. It’s our absolute go to for authentic Indian cuisine ! All dishes are very fresh, not all oily and each is packed full of flavour. We think they have something very unique that cannot be beaten in the area and are excellent value for money given the high quality of their delicious dishes. Hats off to the chefs and also to Jamie who takes the orders. The menu is great and on occasion when we have wanted adjustments, Jamie and the team have been exceptionally accommodating! Well done Mumbai !

We have used Mumbai for a few years now and the food has mostly been good. However the last 2 meals have been atrocious and tonight is the last one for us I am afraid. I placed my order at 16:50 and we didn’t receive our meal until 19:00 really don’t understand why it took so long considering my order was placed early. The lamb was really tough, chicken curry and chicken Balti was really bland and watery. We had two dishes that were incorrect and missing a lamb dish. Jamie on the phone was great, he apologised and sent the driver back out with the correct dishes which arrived another 35 minutes later. However the food was so poor we gave the food back to the driver and asked him to give back to the chefs. The replaced madras was only half filled in the container. Really don’t mind paying for good food but that was ridiculous. They must have lost their regular chef as the meal was absolutely awful. Spent £110 and it was so disappointing they have lost me as customer. Adding to this... I must say that the customer service has been amazing. I was contacted by the owner who was very polite, apologetic and understanding. he explained that there were changes, however, he would personally see that additional changes were made immediately to reflect the previous high standard. We tried the food again on the following Saturday and it was really really good. He recommend a new dish which was the Chicken Mirchwali and I must say its going to be a new favorite, but it is spicy! You have been warned. I am amending my review to a 4 star. Hope that the next meal will be just as good and will review again. Thank you to the management of Mumbai, it is quite refreshing that you reached out and was very accomodating. Keep it up - I wish you all the success.

Delicious, fresh and not at all oily. Tastes like home cooked Indian food which (in my opinion) is always the best kind. Great vegetarian selection. We ordered a collection at 5pm when they open although didn’t realise that’s when the kitchen opens not when the food would be ready so needed to wait a while. We were pleased we did as it was worth it. Will definitely reorder in the future. The photo is the leftovers today (the next day) for lunch!
